Commit 273df864cf ("ima: Check against blacklisted hashes for files with
modsig") introduced an appraise_flag option for referencing the blacklist
keyring. Any matching binary found on this keyring fails signature
validation. This flag only works with module appended signatures.
An important part of a PKI infrastructure is to have the ability to do
revocation at a later time should a vulnerability be found. Expand the
revocation flag usage to all appraisal functions. The flag is now
enabled by default. Setting the flag with an IMA policy has been
deprecated. Without a revocation capability like this in place, only
authenticity can be maintained. With this change, integrity can now be
achieved with digital signature based IMA appraisal.

If the device does not support Sanitize or Secure Erase commands,
hide the respective sysfs interfaces such that the operation can
never be attempted.
In order to be generic, keep track of the enabled security commands
found in the CEL - the driver does not support Security Passthrough.

Add support to the /sys/devices/system/cpu/smt/control interface for
enabling a specified number of SMT threads per core, including partial
SMT states where not all threads are brought online.
The current interface accepts "on" and "off", to enable either 1 or all
SMT threads per core.
This commit allows writing an integer, between 1 and the number of SMT
threads supported by the machine. Writing 1 is a synonym for "off", 2 or
more enables SMT with the specified number of threads.
When reading the file, if all threads are online "on" is returned, to
avoid changing behaviour for existing users. If some other number of
threads is online then the integer value is returned.
Architectures like x86 only supporting 1 thread or all threads, should not
define CONFIG_SMT_NUM_THREADS_DYNAMIC. Architecture supporting partial SMT
states, like PowerPC, should define it.

When a grant entry is still in use by the remote domain, Linux must put
it on a deferred list. Normally, this list is very short, because
the PV network and block protocols expect the backend to unmap the grant
first. However, Qubes OS's GUI protocol is subject to the constraints
of the X Window System, and as such winds up with the frontend unmapping
the window first. As a result, the list can grow very large, resulting
in a massive memory leak and eventual VM freeze.
To partially solve this problem, make the number of entries that the VM
will attempt to free at each iteration tunable. The default is still
10, but it can be overridden via a module parameter.
This is Cc: stable because (when combined with appropriate userspace
changes) it fixes a severe performance and stability problem for Qubes
OS users.

This patch allows users to set up MIDI 1.0 ports more flexibly.
Namely, instead of the fixed mapping only from FB 0, now multiple
block definitions are applied to build up the MIDI 1.0 mapping.
The each block config has midi1_first_group and midi1_num_groups
attributes, and those specify which Groups are used for MIDI 1.0.
Those fields must be within the UMP Groups defined in the block
itself.

This patch adds the support of configfs to MIDI 2.0 function driver
for users to allow configuring the UMP Endpoint and Function Blocks
more flexibly. The configuration is in a tree form. The top-most
contains some card-level configurations. UMP Endpoints are defined in
subdirectories (ep.0, ep.1, etc) that contain Endpoint-specific
configurations such as ep_name, etc. And, UMP Function Blocks are
defined in the subdirectories (block.0, block.1, etc) under EP
subdirectory. As default, the driver creates a single UMP Endpoint
(ep.0) and a single Function Block (block.0) to work in a minimalistic
manner. User can modify those attributes freely to fit with the
demands.
When multiple Function Blocks are required, user can create another
directory as block.1, block.2, and so on (up to block.31). A block.*
directory can be deleted dynamically, too. A caveat is that the block
number has to be continuous.
Similarly, when multiple UMP Endpoints are required, user can create
another directory as ep.1, ep.2, up to ep.3.
Also, some driver behavior can be controlled in the card top-level
configs. e.g. you can pass process_ump=0 to disable the processing of
UMP Stream messages. This would be equivalent with the older MIDI 2.0
spec that doesn't support UMP v1.1 features.
The configfs interface checks upper- / lower-bound of input values,
and more sanity checks are performed at binding.
Attributes can't be changed any longer once when the instance is
linked to UDC.

There are devices (such as Murata IRS-D200 PIR proximity sensor) that
check the data signal with a running period. I.e. for a specified time,
they count the number of conditions that have occurred, and then signal
if that is more than a specified amount.
`IIO_EV_INFO_PERIOD` resets when the condition no longer is true and is
therefore not suitable for these devices. Add a new `iio_event_info`
`IIO_EV_INFO_RUNNING_PERIOD` that can be used as a running period. Also
add a new `IIO_EV_INFO_RUNNING_COUNT` that can be used to specify the
number of conditions that must occur during this running period.

Under some circumstances, firmware in the QAT devices could become
unresponsive. The Heartbeat feature provides a mechanism to detect
unresponsive devices.
The QAT FW periodically writes to memory a set of counters that allow
to detect the liveness of a device. This patch adds logic to enable
the reporting of those counters, analyze them and report if a device
is alive or not.
In particular this adds
(1) heartbeat enabling, reading and detection logic
(2) reporting of heartbeat status and configuration via debugfs
(3) documentation for the newly created sysfs entries
(4) configuration of FW settings related to heartbeat, e.g. tick period
(5) logic to convert time in ms (provided by the user) to clock ticks
This patch introduces a new folder in debugfs called heartbeat with the
following attributes:
- status
- queries_sent
- queries_failed
- config
All attributes except config are reading only. In particular:
- `status` file returns 0 when device is operational and -1 otherwise.
- `queries_sent` returns the total number of heartbeat queries sent.
- `queries_failed` returns the total number of heartbeat queries failed.
- `config` allows to adjust the frequency at which the firmware writes
counters to memory. This period is given in milliseconds and it is
fixed for GEN4 devices.

Expose FW counters statistics by providing the "fw_counters" file
under debugfs. Currently the statistics include the number of
requests sent to the FW and the number of responses received
from the FW for each Acceleration Engine, for all the QAT product
line.
This patch is based on earlier work done by Marco Chiappero.

Gather Data Sampling (GDS) is a hardware vulnerability which allows
unprivileged speculative access to data which was previously stored in
vector registers.
Intel processors that support AVX2 and AVX512 have gather instructions
that fetch non-contiguous data elements from memory. On vulnerable
hardware, when a gather instruction is transiently executed and
encounters a fault, stale data from architectural or internal vector
registers may get transiently stored to the destination vector
register allowing an attacker to infer the stale data using typical
side channel techniques like cache timing attacks.
This mitigation is different from many earlier ones for two reasons.
First, it is enabled by default and a bit must be set to *DISABLE* it.
This is the opposite of normal mitigation polarity. This means GDS can
be mitigated simply by updating microcode and leaving the new control
bit alone.
Second, GDS has a "lock" bit. This lock bit is there because the
mitigation affects the hardware security features KeyLocker and SGX.
It needs to be enabled and *STAY* enabled for these features to be
mitigated against GDS.
The mitigation is enabled in the microcode by default. Disable it by
setting gather_data_sampling=off or by disabling all mitigations with
mitigations=off. The mitigation status can be checked by reading:
/sys/devices/system/cpu/vulnerabilities/gather_data_sampling

Expose various CPU and dGPU tunables that are available on many ASUS
ROG laptops. The tunables shown in sysfs will vary depending on the CPU
and dGPU vendor.
All of these variables are write only and there is no easy way to find
what the defaults are. In general they seem to default to the max value
the vendor sets for the CPU and dGPU package - this is not the same as
the min/max writable value. Values written to these variables that are
beyond the capabilities of the CPU are ignored by the laptop.
