cbc17e7802 net: fec: Set mac_managed_pm during probe
Setting mac_managed_pm during interface up is too late.

In situations where the link is not brought up yet and the system suspends
the regular PHY power management will run. Since the FEC ETHEREN control
bit is cleared (automatically) on suspend the controller is off in resume.
When the regular PHY power management resume path runs in this context it
will write to the MII_DATA register but nothing will be transmitted on the
MDIO bus.

This can be observed by the following log:

    fec 5b040000.ethernet eth0: MDIO read timeout
    Microchip LAN87xx T1 5b040000.ethernet-1:04: PM: dpm_run_callback(): mdio_bus_phy_resume+0x0/0xc8 returns -110
    Microchip LAN87xx T1 5b040000.ethernet-1:04: PM: failed to resume: error -110

The data written will however remain in the MII_DATA register.

When the link later is set to administrative up it will trigger a call to
fec_restart() which will restore the MII_SPEED register. This triggers the
quirk explained in f166f890c8 ("net: ethernet: fec: Replace interrupt
driven MDIO with polled IO") causing an extra MII_EVENT.

This extra event desynchronizes all the MDIO register reads, causing them
to complete too early. Leading all reads to read as 0 because
fec_enet_mdio_wait() returns too early.

When a Microchip LAN8700R PHY is connected to the FEC, the 0 reads causes
the PHY to be initialized incorrectly and the PHY will not transmit any
ethernet signal in this state. It cannot be brought out of this state
without a power cycle of the PHY.

6a2495adc0 net: fec: Fixup EEE
The enabling/disabling of EEE in the MAC should happen as a result of
auto negotiation. So move the enable/disable into
fec_enet_adjust_link() which gets called by phylib when there is a
change in link status.

fec_enet_set_eee() now just stores away the LPI timer value.
Everything else is passed to phylib, so it can correctly setup the
PHY.

fec_enet_get_eee() relies on phylib doing most of the work,
the MAC driver just adds the LPI timer value.

Call phy_support_eee() if the quirk is present to indicate the MAC
actually supports EEE.

734f06db59 net: dpaa: fman_memac: accept phy-interface-type = "10gbase-r" in the device tree
Since commit 5d93cfcf73 ("net: dpaa: Convert to phylink"), we support
the "10gbase-r" phy-mode through a driver-based conversion of "xgmii",
but we still don't actually support it when the device tree specifies
"10gbase-r" proper.

This is because boards such as LS1046A-RDB do not define pcs-handle-names
(for whatever reason) in the ethernet@f0000 device tree node, and the
code enters through this code path:

In other words, in the absence of pcs-handle-names, the default
xfi_pcs assignment logic only works when in the device tree we have
PHY_INTERFACE_MODE_XGMII.

By reversing the order between the fallback xfi_pcs assignment and the
"xgmii" overwrite with "10gbase-r", we are able to support both values
in the device tree, with identical behavior.

Currently, it is impossible to make the s/xgmii/10gbase-r/ device tree
conversion, because it would break forward compatibility (new device
tree with old kernel). The only way to modify existing device trees to
phy-interface-mode = "10gbase-r" is to fix stable kernels to accept this
value and handle it properly.

One reason why the conversion is desirable is because with pre-phylink
kernels, the Aquantia PHY driver used to warn about the improper use
of PHY_INTERFACE_MODE_XGMII [1]. It is best to have a single (latest)
device tree that works with all supported stable kernel versions.

Note that the blamed commit does not constitute a regression per se.
Older stable kernels like 6.1 still do not work with "10gbase-r", but
for a different reason. That is a battle for another time.

b573cb0a55 net: fec: remove eee_enabled/eee_active in fec_enet_get_eee()
fec_enet_get_eee() sets edata->eee_active and edata->eee_enabled from
its own copy, and then calls phy_ethtool_get_eee() which in turn will
call genphy_c45_ethtool_get_eee().

genphy_c45_ethtool_get_eee() will overwrite eee_enabled and eee_active
with its own interpretation from the PHYs settings and negotiation
result.

Therefore, setting these members in fec_enet_get_eee() is redundant.
Remove this, and remove the setting of fep->eee.eee_active member which
becomes a write-only variable.

d80a523353 ethtool: replace struct ethtool_eee with a new struct ethtool_keee on kernel side
In order to pass EEE link modes beyond bit 32 to userspace we have to
complement the 32 bit bitmaps in struct ethtool_eee with linkmode
bitmaps. Therefore, similar to ethtool_link_settings and
ethtool_link_ksettings, add a struct ethtool_keee. In a first step
it's an identical copy of ethtool_eee. This patch simply does a
s/ethtool_eee/ethtool_keee/g for all users.
No functional change intended.

14d0681b3a net: enetc: allow phy-mode = "1000base-x"
The driver code proper is handled by the lynx_pcs. The enetc just needs
to populate phylink's supported_interfaces array, and return true for
this phy-mode in enetc_port_has_pcs(), such that it creates an internal
MDIO bus through which the Lynx PCS registers are accessed.

71150d9447 dpaa2-switch: cleanup the egress flood of an unused FDB
In case a DPAA2 switch interface joins a bridge, the FDB used on the
port will be changed to the one associated with the bridge. What this
means exactly is that any VLAN installed on the port will need to be
removed and then installed back so that it points to the new FDB.

Once this is done, the previous FDB will become unused (no VLAN to
point to it). Even though no traffic will reach this FDB, it's best to
just cleanup the state of the FDB by zeroing its egress flood domain.

a8150c9fb1 dpaa2-switch: reorganize the [pre]changeupper events
Create separate functions, dpaa2_switch_port_prechangeupper and
dpaa2_switch_port_changeupper, to be called directly when a DPSW port
changes its upper device.

This way we are not open-coding everything in the main event callback
and we can easily extent, for example, with bond offload.

f6da276479 dpaa2-switch: do not clear any interrupts automatically
The DPSW object has multiple event sources multiplexed over the same
IRQ. The driver has the capability to configure only some of these
events to trigger the IRQ.

The dpsw_get_irq_status() can clear events automatically based on the
value stored in the 'status' variable passed to it. We don't want that
to happen because we could get into a situation when we are clearing
more events than we actually handled.

Just resort to manually clearing the events that we handled. Also, since
status is not used on the out path we remove its initialization to zero.

This change does not have a user-visible effect because the dpaa2-switch
driver enables and handles all the DPSW events which exist at the
moment.

77c42a3b0a dpaa2-switch: add ENDPOINT_CHANGED to the irq_mask
Commit 84cba72956 ("dpaa2-switch: integrate the MAC endpoint support")
added support for MAC endpoints in the dpaa2-switch driver but omitted
to add the ENDPOINT_CHANGED irq to the list of interrupt sources. Fix
this by extending the list of events which can raise an interrupt by
extending the mask passed to the dpsw_set_irq_mask() firmware API.

There is no user visible impact even without this patch since whenever a
switch interface is connected/disconnected from an endpoint both events
are set (LINK_CHANGED and ENDPOINT_CHANGED) and, luckily, the
LINK_CHANGED event could actually raise the interrupt and thus get the
MAC/PHY SW configuration started.

Even with this, it's better to just not rely on undocumented firmware
behavior which can change.

365d0371a9 dpaa2-switch: set interface MAC address only on endpoint change
There is no point in updating the MAC address of a switch interface each
time the link state changes, this only needs to happen in case the
endpoint changes (the switch interface is [dis]connected from/to a MAC).

Just move the call to dpaa2_switch_port_set_mac_addr() under
DPSW_IRQ_EVENT_ENDPOINT_CHANGED.

fb6e30a725 net: ethtool: pass a pointer to parameters to get/set_rxfh ethtool ops
The get/set_rxfh ethtool ops currently takes the rxfh (RSS) parameters
as direct function arguments. This will force us to change the API (and
all drivers' functions) every time some new parameters are added.

This is part 1/2 of the fix, as suggested in [1]:

- First simplify the code by always providing a pointer to all params
   (indir, key and func); the fact that some of them may be NULL seems
   like a weird historic thing or a premature optimization.
   It will simplify the drivers if all pointers are always present.

 - Then make the functions take a dev pointer, and a pointer to a
   single struct wrapping all arguments. The set_* should also take
   an extack.

f24a49a375 dpaa2-switch: do not ask for MDB, VLAN and FDB replay
Starting with commit 4e51bf44a0 ("net: bridge: move the switchdev
object replay helpers to "push" mode") the switchdev_bridge_port_offload()
helper was extended with the intention to provide switchdev drivers easy
access to object addition and deletion replays. This works by calling
the replay helpers with non-NULL notifier blocks.

In the same commit, the dpaa2-switch driver was updated so that it
passes valid notifier blocks to the helper. At that moment, no
regression was identified through testing.

In the meantime, the blamed commit changed the behavior in terms of
which ports get hit by the replay. Before this commit, only the initial
port which identified itself as offloaded through
switchdev_bridge_port_offload() got a replay of all port objects and
FDBs. After this, the newly joining port will trigger a replay of
objects on all bridge ports and on the bridge itself.

This behavior leads to errors in dpaa2_switch_port_vlans_add() when a
VLAN gets installed on the same interface multiple times.

The intended mechanism to address this is to pass a non-NULL ctx to the
switchdev_bridge_port_offload() helper and then check it against the
port's private structure. But since the driver does not have any use for
the replayed port objects and FDBs until it gains support for LAG

driver to not ask for replay. The pointers will be added back when we

9fc95fe95c net: fec: correct queue selection
The old implementation extracted VLAN TCI info from the payload
before the VLAN tag has been pushed in the payload.

Another problem was that the VLAN TCI was extracted even if the
packet did not have VLAN protocol header.

This resulted in invalid VLAN TCI and as a consequence a random
queue was computed.

This patch fixes the above issues and use the VLAN TCI from the
skb if it is present or VLAN TCI from payload if present. If no
VLAN header is present queue 0 is selected.

beb1930f96 dpaa2-eth: recycle the RX buffer only after all processing done
The blamed commit added support for Rx copybreak. This meant that for
certain frame sizes, a new skb was allocated and the initial data buffer
was recycled. Instead of waiting to recycle the Rx buffer only after all
processing was done on it (like accessing the parse results or timestamp
information), the code path just went ahead and re-used the buffer right
away.

This sometimes lead to corrupted HW and SW annotation areas.
Fix this by delaying the moment when the buffer is recycled.

f422abe3f2 dpaa2-eth: increase the needed headroom to account for alignment
Increase the needed headroom to account for a 64 byte alignment
restriction which, with this patch, we make mandatory on the Tx path.
The case in which the amount of headroom needed is not available is
already handled by the driver which instead sends a S/G frame with the
first buffer only holding the SW and HW annotation areas.

Without this patch, we can empirically see data corruption happening
between Tx and Tx confirmation which sometimes leads to the SW
annotation area being overwritten.

Since this is an old IP where the hardware team cannot help to
understand the underlying behavior, we make the Tx alignment mandatory
for all frames to avoid the crash on Tx conf. Also, remove the comment
that suggested that this is just an optimization.

This patch also sets the needed_headroom net device field to the usual
value that the driver would need on the Tx path:
	- 64 bytes for the software annotation area
	- 64 bytes to account for a 64 byte aligned buffer address

f968c56417 net: enetc: shorten enetc_setup_xdp_prog() error message to fit NETLINK_MAX_FMTMSG_LEN
NETLINK_MAX_FMTMSG_LEN is currently hardcoded to 80, and we provide an
error printf-formatted string having 96 characters including the
terminating \0. Assuming each %d (representing a queue) gets replaced by
a number having at most 2 digits (a reasonable assumption), the final
string is also 96 characters wide, which is too much.

Reduce the verbiage a bit by removing some (partially) redundant words,
which makes the new printf-formatted string be 73 characters wide with
the trailing newline.

ffd32a92b3 net: fec: use dma_alloc_noncoherent for data cache enabled coldfire
Coldfire platforms with data caches can't properly implement
dma_alloc_coherent and currently just return noncoherent memory from
dma_alloc_coherent.

The fec driver than works around this with a flush of all caches in the
receive path. Make this hack a little less bad by using the explicit
dma_alloc_noncoherent API and documenting the hacky cache flushes so
that the DMA API level hack can be removed.

Also replace the check for CONFIG_M532x for said hack with a check
for COLDFIRE && !COLDFIRE_COHERENT_DMA.  While m532x is the only such
platform with a fec module, this makes the code more consistent and
easier to follow.

659ce55fdd net: fec: replace deprecated strncpy with ethtool_sprintf
`strncpy` is deprecated for use on NUL-terminated destination strings
[1] and as such we should prefer more robust and less ambiguous string
interfaces.

ethtool_sprintf() is designed specifically for get_strings() usage.
Let's replace strncpy in favor of this more robust and easier to
understand interface.

Also, while we're here, let's change memcpy() over to ethtool_sprintf()
for consistency.

1b36955cc0 net: enetc: distinguish error from valid pointers in enetc_fixup_clear_rss_rfs()
enetc_psi_create() returns an ERR_PTR() or a valid station interface
pointer, but checking for the non-NULL quality of the return code blurs
that difference away. So if enetc_psi_create() fails, we call
enetc_psi_destroy() when we shouldn't. This will likely result in
crashes, since enetc_psi_create() cleans up everything after itself when
it returns an ERR_PTR().

 "Summary of the changes worth highlighting from most interesting to
  boring below:

   - Christoph Hellwig's symbol_get() fix to Nvidia's efforts to
     circumvent the protection he put in place in year 2020 to prevent
     proprietary modules from using GPL only symbols, and also ensuring
     proprietary modules which export symbols grandfather their taint.

     That was done through year 2020 commit 262e6ae708 ("modules:
     inherit TAINT_PROPRIETARY_MODULE"). Christoph's new fix is done by
     clarifing __symbol_get() was only ever intended to prevent module
     reference loops by Linux kernel modules and so making it only find
     symbols exported via EXPORT_SYMBOL_GPL(). The circumvention tactic
     used by Nvidia was to use symbol_get() to purposely swift through
     proprietary module symbols and completely bypass our traditional
     EXPORT_SYMBOL*() annotations and community agreed upon
     restrictions.

     A small set of preamble patches fix up a few symbols which just
     needed adjusting for this on two modules, the rtc ds1685 and the
     networking enetc module. Two other modules just needed some build
     fixing and removal of use of __symbol_get() as they can't ever be
     modular, as was done by Arnd on the ARM pxa module and Christoph
     did on the mmc au1xmmc driver.

     This is a good reminder to us that symbol_get() is just a hack to
     address things which should be fixed through Kconfig at build time
     as was done in the later patches, and so ultimately it should just
     go.

   - Extremely late minor fix for old module layout 055f23b74b
     ("module: check for exit sections in layout_sections() instead of
     module_init_section()") by James Morse for arm64. Note that this
     layout thing is old, it is *not* Song Liu's commit ac3b432839
     ("module: replace module_layout with module_memory"). The issue
     however is very odd to run into and so there was no hurry to get
     this in fast.

   - Although the fix did not go through the modules tree I'd like to
     highlight the fix by Peter Zijlstra in commit 5409730962
     ("x86/static_call: Fix __static_call_fixup()") now merged in your
     tree which came out of what was originally suspected to be a
     fallout of the the newer module layout changes by Song Liu commit
     ac3b432839 ("module: replace module_layout with module_memory")
     instead of module_init_section()"). Thanks to the report by
     Christian Bricart and the debugging by Song Liu & Peter that turned
     to be noted as a kernel regression in place since v5.19 through
     commit ee88d363d1 ("x86,static_call: Use alternative RET
     encoding").

     I highlight this to reflect and clarify that we haven't seen more
     fallout from ac3b432839 ("module: replace module_layout with
     module_memory").

   - RISC-V toolchain got mapping symbol support which prefix symbols
     with "$" to help with alignment considerations for disassembly.

     This is used to differentiate between incompatible instruction
     encodings when disassembling. RISC-V just matches what ARM/AARCH64
     did for alignment considerations and Palmer Dabbelt extended
     is_mapping_symbol() to accept these symbols for RISC-V. We already
     had support for this for all architectures but it also checked for
     the second character, the RISC-V check Dabbelt added was just for
     the "$". After a bit of testing and fallout on linux-next and based
     on feedback from Masahiro Yamada it was decided to simplify the
     check and treat the first char "$" as unique for all architectures,
     and so we no make is_mapping_symbol() for all archs if the symbol
     starts with "$".

     The most relevant commit for this for RISC-V on binutils was:

   - A late fix by Andrea Righi (today) to make module zstd
     decompression use vmalloc() instead of kmalloc() to account for
     large compressed modules. I suspect we'll see similar things for
     other decompression algorithms soon.

     Chen Jiahao"

9540329452 net: fec: add statistics for XDP_TX
The FEC driver supports the statistics for XDP actions except for
XDP_TX before, because the XDP_TX was not supported when adding
the statistics for XDP. Now the FEC driver has supported XDP_TX
since commit f601899e43 ("net: fec: add XDP_TX feature support").
So it's reasonable and necessary to add statistics for XDP_TX.

As we already added the exception tracing for XDP_TX, I think it is
necessary to add the exception tracing for other XDP actions, such
as XDP_REDIRECT, XDP_ABORTED and unknown error actions.

Move MPC82XX_BCR_PLDP into asm/cpm2.h then remove mpc8260.h
