Commit c9b1150a68 ("drm/atomic-helper: Re-order bridge chain pre-enable
and post-disable") changed the call sequence to the CRTC enable/disable
and bridge pre_enable/post_disable methods, so those bridge methods are
now called when CRTC is not yet enabled.
This causes a lockup observed on Samsung Peach-Pit/Pi Chromebooks. The
source of this lockup is a call to fimd_dp_clock_enable() function, when
FIMD device is not yet runtime resumed. It worked before the mentioned
commit only because the CRTC implemented by the FIMD driver was always
enabled what guaranteed the FIMD device to be runtime resumed.
This patch adds runtime PM guards to the fimd_dp_clock_enable() function
to enable its proper operation also when the CRTC implemented by FIMD is
not yet enabled.

If there's support for another console device (such as a TTY serial),
the kernel occasionally panics during boot. The panic message and a
relevant snippet of the call stack is as follows:
Unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at virtual address 000000000000000
Call trace:
drm_crtc_handle_vblank+0x10/0x30 (P)
decon_irq_handler+0x88/0xb4
[...]
Otherwise, the panics don't happen. This indicates that it's some sort
of race condition.
Add a check to validate if the drm device can handle vblanks before
calling drm_crtc_handle_vblank() to avoid this.

In the past %pK was preferable to %p as it would not leak raw pointer
values into the kernel log.
Since commit ad67b74d24 ("printk: hash addresses printed with %p")
the regular %p has been improved to avoid this issue.
Furthermore, restricted pointers ("%pK") were never meant to be used
through printk(). They can still unintentionally leak raw pointers or
acquire sleeping locks in atomic contexts.
Switch to the regular pointer formatting which is safer and
easier to reason about.

In the vidi_get_modes() function, if either drm_edid_dup() or
drm_edid_alloc() fails, the function will immediately return 0,
indicating that no display modes can be retrieved. However, in
the event of failure in these two functions, it is still necessary
to call the subsequent drm_edid_connector_update() function with
a NULL drm_edid as an argument. This ensures that operations such
as connector settings are performed in its callee function,
_drm_edid_connector_property_update. To maintain the integrity of
the operation, redundant error handling needs to be removed.

The continual trickle of small conversion patches is grating on me, and
is really not helping. Just get rid of the 'remove_new' member
function, which is just an alias for the plain 'remove', and had a
comment to that effect:
/*
* .remove_new() is a relic from a prototype conversion of .remove().
* New drivers are supposed to implement .remove(). Once all drivers are
* converted to not use .remove_new any more, it will be dropped.
*/
This was just a tree-wide 'sed' script that replaced '.remove_new' with
'.remove', with some care taken to turn a subsequent tab into two tabs
to make things line up.
I did do some minimal manual whitespace adjustment for places that used
spaces to line things up.
Then I just removed the old (sic) .remove_new member function, and this
is the end result. No more unnecessary conversion noise.

Rework fbdev probing to support fbdev_probe in struct drm_driver
and remove the old fb_probe callback. Provide an initializer macro
for struct drm_driver that sets the callback according to the kernel
configuration.
Call drm_client_setup() to run the kernel's default client setup
for DRM. Set fbdev_probe in struct drm_driver, so that the client
setup can start the common fbdev client.
The exynos-drm driver specifies a preferred color mode of 32. As this
is the default if no format has been given, leave it out entirely.

All users of ARM IOMMU mappings create them for a particular device, so
change the interface to accept the device rather than forcing a vague
indirection through a bus type. This prepares for making a similar
change to iommu_domain_alloc() itself.

Prefer the struct drm_edid based functions for storing the EDID and
updating the connector.
It would be better if the vidi connection ioctl passed in the EDID size
separately instead of relying on the extension count specified in the
EDID, but that's what we have to rely on.

Avoid assigning fake_edid_info to ctx->raw_edid. Always keep
ctx->raw_edid either an allocated pointer or NULL. Defer fake_edid_info
handling to .get_modes().
This should be functionally equivalent but slightly easier to follow.

Don't open code drm_edid_duplicate(). While at it, drop the error
message on allocation failure.

Regression fix
- Fix an regression issue by adding 640x480 fallback mode
for Exynos HDMI driver.
Bug fix
- Fix a memory leak by ensuring the duplicated EDID is properly freed in the get_modes function.
Code cleanup
- Remove redundant driver owner initialization since platform_driver_register() sets it automatically.
