40617439d5 docs/core-api/symbol-namespaces: drop table of contents and section numbering
The manually updated table of contents and section numbering are hard
to maintain.

Make changes similar to the following commits:

813da4f379 powerpc: Switch irq_domain_add_nomap() to use fwnode
All irq_domain_add_*() functions are going away. PowerPC is the only
user of irq_domain_add_nomap() and there is no irq_domain_create_nomap()
complement.

Therefore, to align with the rest of the kernel, rename
irq_domain_add_nomap() to irq_domain_create_nomap() and accept a
fwnode_handle instead of a device_node.

592ebd77e6 vsprintf: remove redundant and unused %pCn format specifier
%pC and %pCn print the same string, and commit 900cca2944 ("lib/vsprintf:
add %pC{,n,r} format specifiers for clocks") introducing them does not
clarify any intended difference. It can be assumed %pC is a default for
%pCn as some other specifiers do, but not all are consistent with this
policy. Moreover there is now no other suffix other than 'n', which makes a
default not really useful.

All users in the kernel were using %pC except for one which has been
converted. So now remove %pCn and all the unnecessary extra code and
documentation.

ceb8bf2cea module: Convert default symbol namespace to string literal
Commit cdd30ebb1b ("module: Convert symbol namespace to string
literal") only converted MODULE_IMPORT_NS() and EXPORT_SYMBOL_NS(),
leaving DEFAULT_SYMBOL_NAMESPACE as a macro expansion.

This commit converts DEFAULT_SYMBOL_NAMESPACE in the same way to avoid
annoyance for the default namespace as well.

Pull mm updates from Andrew Morton:
"The usual shower of singleton fixes and minor series all over MM,
documented (hopefully adequately) in the respective changelogs.
  Notable series include:

   - Lucas Stach has provided some page-mapping cleanup/consolidation/
maintainability work in the series "mm/treewide: Remove pXd_huge()
     API".

   - In the series "Allow migrate on protnone reference with
MPOL_PREFERRED_MANY policy", Donet Tom has optimized mempolicy's
MPOL_PREFERRED_MANY mode, yielding almost doubled performance in
     one test.

   - In their series "Memory allocation profiling" Kent Overstreet and
Suren Baghdasaryan have contributed a means of determining (via
/proc/allocinfo) whereabouts in the kernel memory is being
allocated: number of calls and amount of memory.

   - Matthew Wilcox has provided the series "Various significant MM
patches" which does a number of rather unrelated things, but in
     largely similar code sites.

   - In his series "mm: page_alloc: freelist migratetype hygiene"
Johannes Weiner has fixed the page allocator's handling of
migratetype requests, with resulting improvements in compaction
     efficiency.

   - In the series "make the hugetlb migration strategy consistent"
Baolin Wang has fixed a hugetlb migration issue, which should
     improve hugetlb allocation reliability.

   - Liu Shixin has hit an I/O meltdown caused by readahead in a
memory-tight memcg. Addressed in the series "Fix I/O high when
     memory almost met memcg limit".

   - In the series "mm/filemap: optimize folio adding and splitting"
Kairui Song has optimized pagecache insertion, yielding ~10%
     performance improvement in one test.

   - Baoquan He has cleaned up and consolidated the early zone
initialization code in the series "mm/mm_init.c: refactor
     free_area_init_core()".

hugetlb functions to work on folis".

   - Code consolidation and cleanup work related to GUP's handling of
hugetlbs in Peter Xu's series "mm/gup: Unify hugetlb, part 2".

     memory types works as intended.

   - David Hildenbrand has improved follow_pte() and fixed an errant
driver in the series "mm: follow_pte() improvements and acrn
     follow_pte() fixes".

   - David also did some cleanup work on large folio mapcounts in his
series "mm: mapcount for large folios + page_mapcount() cleanups".

   - Folio conversions in KSM in Alex Shi's series "transfer page to
     folio in KSM".

   - Barry Song has added some sysfs stats for monitoring multi-size

     counters".

   - Some zswap cleanups from Yosry Ahmed in the series "zswap
     same-filled and limit checking cleanups".

   - Matthew Wilcox has been looking at buffer_head code and found the
documentation to be lacking. The series is "Improve buffer head
     documentation".

   - Multi-size THPs get more work, this time from Lance Yang. His
series "mm/madvise: enhance lazyfreeing with mTHP in madvise_free"
optimizes the freeing of these things.

   - Kemeng Shi has added more userspace-visible writeback
instrumentation in the series "Improve visibility of writeback".

   - Kemeng Shi then sent some maintenance work on top in the series
     "Fix and cleanups to page-writeback".

   - Matthew Wilcox reduces mmap_lock traffic in the anon vma code in
the series "Improve anon_vma scalability for anon VMAs". Intel's
test bot reported an improbable 3x improvement in one test.

3edf091d5c Documentation: core-api: update kernel-doc reference to kmod.c
Commit d6f819908f8aac ("module: fold usermode helper kmod into modules

directory but forgets to update its reference on kernel api doc, hence:

WARNING: kernel-doc './scripts/kernel-doc -rst -enable-lineno -sphinx-version 2.4.4 -export ./kernel/kmod.c' failed with return code 2

2abfcd293b docs: ftrace: always use canonical ftrace path
The canonical location for the tracefs filesystem is at /sys/kernel/tracing.

But, from Documentation/trace/ftrace.rst:

Before 4.1, all ftrace tracing control files were within the debugfs
file system, which is typically located at /sys/kernel/debug/tracing.
For backward compatibility, when mounting the debugfs file system,
the tracefs file system will be automatically mounted at:

  /sys/kernel/debug/tracing

Many parts of Documentation still reference this older debugfs path, so
let's update them to avoid confusion.

4313a24985 arch/*/: remove CONFIG_VIRT_TO_BUS
All architecture-independent users of virt_to_bus() and bus_to_virt()
have been fixed to use the dma mapping interfaces or have been
removed now. This means the definitions on most architectures, and the
CONFIG_VIRT_TO_BUS symbol are now obsolete and can be removed.

The only exceptions to this are a few network and scsi drivers for m68k
Amiga and VME machines and ppc32 Macintosh. These drivers work correctly
with the old interfaces and are probably not worth changing.

On alpha and parisc, virt_to_bus() were still used in asm/floppy.h.
alpha can use isa_virt_to_bus() like x86 does, and parisc can just
open-code the virt_to_phys() here, as this is architecture specific
code.

I tried updating the bus-virt-phys-mapping.rst documentation, which
started as an email from Linus to explain some details of the Linux-2.0
driver interfaces. The bits about virt_to_bus() were declared obsolete
backin 2000, and the rest is not all that relevant any more, so in the
end I just decided to remove the file completely.
