01f60348d8 drm/amd/display: Fix 'failed to blank crtc!'
[why]
DCN35 is having “DC: failed to blank crtc!” when running HPO
test cases. It's caused by not having sufficient udelay time.

[how]
Replace the old wait_for_blank_complete function with fsleep function to
sleep just until the next frame should come up. This way it doesn't poll
in case the pixel clock or other clock was bugged or until vactive and
the vblank are hit again.

90bc60cef2 drm/amd/display: Don't disable dtb as dto src during dpms off
[WHY & HOW]
Adjusting otg dto programming in this path is unsafe otg may be en at
this time, swapping its src sel for example was discovered to cause
visual artifacts and was moved to dcn31_program_pix_clk (where otg is
guaranteed off) but dto functional clk enable bit is not cleared.

dcn31_program_pix_clk is called during dpms on, so until that point
we will have a otg with functional src sel set (Sel DTBclk) and that
functional clk dto en is unset (i.e DTB DTO EN), which is invalid and tg
will not function and system will hang on something such as flip
incoming from OS during dpms off. will scope out dcn315 as it was
affecting diags tests on certain CI machines (not crbs)

269c1d1443 drm/amd/display: replace fast_validate with enum dc_validate_mode
[Why]
The boolean fast_validate is used as an
input parameter in multiple functions. To
support more scenarios, we are
replacing it with enum dc_validate_mode.

[How]
The enum dc_validate_mode introduces three
possible values:
1) DC_VALIDATE_MODE_AND_PROGRAMMING:
   Apply the mode to hardware
2) DC_VALIDATE_MODE_ONLY:
Check whether the mode can be supported
3) DC_VALIDATE_MODE_AND_STATE_INDEX:
Check if the mode can be supported, and
   determine the optimal voltage level
   needed to support it.

32be4e39f4 drm/amd/display: dont disable dtb as dto src during dpms off
fix was previously in 25.20 but was reverted out as it was accompanied
by other changes that caused regression.

[why&how]
Disabling dtb as the dto src during dpms off relies on in the same
instance being able to also alter the dto src bit to dpref (or not dtb
in general), but this was recently changed to only take place in
dcn31_program_pix_clk, as that is where we want to perform any dto src
changes because tg is off at that point, it is unsafe to do that
elsewhere. What this means is now instead of disabling dtb as dto src
and modifying source bit, we are left with the configuration for a given
tg that specifies dtb as dto src and dtb dto en simultaneously is unset.
dcn31_program_pix_clk can rectify this but its possible for us to
perform some tg dependant operation that would simply hang because when
we go to enable say crtc then, the clk we specify as dto src is "off" en
bit is cleared, source bit was never changed, and program_pix_clk hasnt
been called yet (as apart of dpms on)

We cant disable it as dto src during dpms off if we want the luxury of
performing tg dependant operation during dpms off and before dpms on.

6a057072dd drm/amd/display: Fix null check for pipe_ctx->plane_state in dcn20_program_pipe
This commit addresses a null pointer dereference issue in
dcn20_program_pipe(). Previously, commit 8e4ed3cf16 ("drm/amd/display:
Add null check for pipe_ctx->plane_state in dcn20_program_pipe")
partially fixed the null pointer dereference issue. However, in
dcn20_update_dchubp_dpp(), the variable pipe_ctx is passed in, and
plane_state is accessed again through pipe_ctx. Multiple if statements
directly call attributes of plane_state, leading to potential null
pointer dereference issues. This patch adds necessary null checks to
ensure stability.

c0933f1de2 drm/amd/display: Clear pipe pointers on pipe reset
[Why]
We want to clean up unnecessary asserts, one of which is an assert in
resource_is_pipe_type that fires if a pipe has no stream and still has
pointers to other pipes ("dangling state"). This gets hit because pipes
are not properly cleaned up in reset_back_end_for_pipe. When resetting a

ce5057885f drm/amd/display: Clip rect size changes should be full updates
[Why]
In cases where an MPO plane is being dragged around partially off-screen,
it is possible to get a flip where the only scaling parameters to change
are the clip rect size and position. Currently, clip rect size changes
are considered medium updates, which can result in the clip rect being used
for HW programming being larger than the clip rect that was used for the
last DML validation. This can lead to mismatches in different parts of the
pipe and can result in a p-state hang.

[How]
 - consider clip rect size changes scaling changes, therefore full updates
 - refactor get_scaling_info_update_type for clarity
 - remove clip_size_change update flag

Clip rect size changes were previously demoted from full updates as an
optimization when the MPO + ODM policy changed to always pre-allocate MPO
pipes, but it created the issue described above. Personally testing this
use case, the performance feels fine with full update spam, and we expect
this is a fairly infrequent use case. If the performance needs to be
optimized in the future, consider reworking the entire update type logic
to run a DML pass and determine the update type based on what DML says
will actually change.

62ed6f0f19 drm/amd/display: Add NULL check for function pointer in dcn20_set_output_transfer_func
This commit adds a null check for the set_output_gamma function pointer
in the dcn20_set_output_transfer_func function. Previously,
set_output_gamma was being checked for null at line 1030, but then it
was being dereferenced without any null check at line 1048. This could
potentially lead to a null pointer dereference error if set_output_gamma
is null.

To fix this, we now ensure that set_output_gamma is not null before
dereferencing it. We do this by adding a null check for set_output_gamma
before the call to set_output_gamma at line 1048.

8732594017 drm/amd/display: Remove duplicate HWSS interfaces
[Why]
Some interface functions are defined in both the public and private HWSS
interfaces, which can lead to confusion and runtime issues, therefore
the duplicates should be eliminated.

[How]
- power_down should only be private, because it's only used within HWSS.
- update_plane_addr should only be public, as it's used outside HWSS.

3c9154310a drm/amd/display: fix dscclk programming sequence on DCN401
[why]
The mux to switch between refclk and dto_dsc_clk is non double buffered.
However dto dsc clk's phase and modulo divider registers are currently
configured as double buffered update. This causes a problem when we switch to
use dto dsc clk and program phase and modulo in the same sequence. In this
sequence dsc clk is switched to dto but the clock divider programming doesn't
take effect until next frame. When we try to program DSCC registers, SMN bus
will hang because dto dsc clk divider phase is set to 0.

[how]
Configure phase and modulo to take effect immediately. Always switch to dto dsc
clk before DSC clock is unagted. Switch back to refclk after DSC clock is gated.

f9d48a88eb drm/amd/display: Add left edge pixel for YCbCr422/420 + ODM pipe split
[WHY]
Currently 3-tap chroma subsampling is used for YCbCr422/420. When ODM
pipesplit is used, pixels on the left edge of ODM slices need one extra
pixel from the right edge of the previous slice to calculate the correct
chroma value.

Without this change, the chroma value is slightly different than
expected. This is usually imperceptible visually, but it impacts test
pattern CRCs for compliance test automation.

[HOW]
Update logic to use the register for adding extra left edge pixel for
YCbCr422/420 ODM cases.
