20051f5fdf dt-bindings: iio: ad7124: Fix dtc warnings in example
With the conversion to DT schema, the examples are now compiled with
dtc. The ad7124 binding example has the following warning:

Documentation/devicetree/bindings/iio/adc/adi,ad7124.example.dts:19.11-21: \
Warning (reg_format): /example-0/adc@0:reg: property has invalid length (4 bytes) (#address-cells == 1, #size-cells == 1)

There's a default #size-cells and #address-cells values of 1 for
examples. For examples needing different values such as this one on a
SPI bus, they need to provide a SPI bus parent node.

fbbf2b6e9b dt-bindings: iio: avia-hx711: Fix avdd-supply typo in example
Now that examples are validated against the DT schema, a typo in
avia-hx711 example generates a warning:

Documentation/devicetree/bindings/iio/adc/avia-hx711.example.dt.yaml: weight: 'avdd-supply' is a required property

Fix the typo.

c444e956a2 dt-bindings: iio: adc: Add buffered input property
This patch adds the buffered mode device tree property for positive and
negative inputs. Each option can be enabled independently.

In buffered mode, the input channel feeds into a high impedance input stage
of the buffer amplifier. Therefore, the input can tolerate significant
source impedances and is tailored for direct connection to external
resistive type sensors such as strain gages or RTDs.

First set of new device support, features and cleanups for IIO in the 5.3 cycle

New device support
* mt6577
  - add supprot for the mt6765 which requires a few minor additional
    new features in the driver.

Yaml binding conversions
* adxl345
* isl29018
* tsl2583
* tsl2772

Minor features and improvements
* ad5758
  - declare an of_device_id table rather than just relying on the spi
    fallback which doesn't use the manufacturer id.
  - drop a set but not used variable left from previous refactor.
* ad7816
  - Add a bit more description to kconfig text.
* ad9523
  - change calculation order to improve frequency accuracy.
* adxl372
  - declare an of_device_id table
* adt7316
  - white space.
* at91_adc
  - Use dev_get_drvdata directly rather than boucing to the platform device
    and back again.
* cros_ec
  - add an id sysfs entry to bring in line with the other implementations.
* ds5522
  - drop a check on the of_node existing as we don't actually use it for
    anything.
* kxsd9
  - declare an of_device_id table.
* maxim_thermocouple
  - declare an of_device_id table.
* mt6577
  - add dt binding entry for mt8183 which is also supported.
* rcar-gyroadc
  - tidy up unnecessary error messages.
* stm32-dfsdm
  - improved error handling.
* stmpe-adc
  - drop an unnecessary variable assignment.
  - add an of_device_id table.
  - reinit completion on begin converstion to avoid a path in which
    previous round had been interrupted, also switch to non interruptible
    wait to avoid an issue with a user program using -pg
  - simplify interrupt handling by just having them always enabled.
  - reset all interrupts on startup and in the timeout handler to
    avoid getting stuck.

Meson8b and Meson8m2 use a 5-bit wide TSC (temperature sensor

4 bits. The fifth (upper-most) bit is stored inside the

This adds a syscon property to the HHI register area so a driver can

Pull ARM Device-tree updates from Olof Johansson:
 "As usual, this is where the bulk of our changes end up landing each
  merge window.

  The individual updates are too many to enumerate, many many platforms
  have seen additions of device descriptions such that they are
  functionally more complete (in fact, this is often the bulk of updates
  we see).

  Instead I've mostly focused on highlighting the new platforms below as
  they are introduced. Sometimes the introduction is of mostly a
  fragment, that later gets filled in on later releases, and in some
  cases it's near-complete platform support. The latter is more common
  for derivative platforms that already has similar support in-tree.

  Two SoCs are slight outliers from the usual range of additions.
  Allwinner support for F1C100s, a quite old SoC (ARMv5-based) shipping
  in the Lychee Pi Nano platform. At the other end is NXP Layerscape
  LX2160A, a 16-core 2.2GHz Cortex-A72 SoC with a large amount of I/O
  aimed at infrastructure/networking.

  TI updates stick out in the diff stats too, in particular because they
  have moved the description of their L4 on-chip interconnect to
  devicetree, which opens up for removal of even more of their
  platform-specific 'hwmod' description tables over the next few
  releases.

  SoCs:

Jonathan writes:

1st round of IIO new device support, features and cleanups in the 4.20 cycle.

There is a merge commit in here to pull in regmap support for repeatedly
reading the same register (to read out FIFOs). Used by the adxl372 driver.
This will find uses elsewhere once we tidy up various drivers that are
effectively doing this and relying on not enabling regcache.

New device support
* Analog devices ADXL372 accelerometer
  - new driver for this accelerometer including fifo and and interrupt support.
    Follow up patches enforce trigger validation, add sampling frequency
    control and filter bandwidth control. A later series added i2c support
    to the existing SPI support.
* ST lsm6dsx
  - rework and add support fo the LSM6DSO 6 axis mems sensor.
* Linear LTC 1660 DAC
  - new driver supporting the LTC 1660 and LTC 1665 SPI DACs.
* Microchip mcp3911 ADC.
  - new driver for this integrated analog front end and ADC.
* Qualcomm SPMI PMIC5 adc driver
  - using the spmi framework, new driver and bindings for this ADC.
    Follow up patch adds some missing channels.

Features
* ad5758
  - support hard reset using a gpio (if provided).
* mpu6050
  - Regulator support
* qcom-spmi-adc5
  - Sanity check the channel numbers provided by DT to make sure the
    driver actually knows about them.
* sc27xx
  - give raw data for channel 20 as it's used on all known boards for
    the headset which needs a custom converstion function. If it turns
    out someone builds a board where this isn't true we will deal with it
    when it happens.
  - add ADC scale calibration.
* tsl2772
  - support device tree binding to set the proximity led settings.
  - regulator supprot.
  - binding for apds9930 - trivial addition as register compatible with tsl2772.

Cleanups / Minor fixes

* adxl345
  - supress a static checker warning but explicitly checking if the id
    object is null.
* bh1750
  - avoid CONFIG_PM_SLEEP checks.
  - SPDX.
* bme680
  - spelling mistake
  - use clamp rather than open coding.
  - white space and other similar fixes.
  - rename MSK to MASK for clarifty and use GENMASK to specify them.
  - use the FIELD_GET macro rather than a very odd accessor of dividing by
    16 to get the shift.
  - rework to share handing for oversampling of the various channels in a
    unified way.
  - check explicitly for val2 in write_raw function to ensure it is 0.
  - drop some field defines that don't add anything.
* dpot-adc
  - SPDX
* envelope detector
  - SPDX
* isl29501
  - fix an ancient compiler warning mostly because it results in much
    nicer code.
* max30102
  - mark switch fall throughs.
* max44000
  - drop an unused variable.
* max512
  - avoid CONFIG_PM_SLEEP checks.
* max5481
  - use of_device_get_match_data rather than open coding it.
* max5821
  - avoid CONFIG_PM_SLEEP checks.
* max9611
  - explicity cast an enum to an integer to make it totally clear that
    this is intended.
* mcp4018
  - fix an inconsistent MODULE_LICENSE.
  - use of_device_get_match_data rather than open coding it.
* mcp4531
  - use of_device_get_match_data rather than open coding it.
  - SPDX
* mcp4725
  - avoid CONFIG_PM_SLEEP checks.
* mcp4922
  - Fix error handling and prevent writing a negative to when setting the
    output voltage.
* ms5611
  - drop deprecated compatible strings without manufacturer from being
    explicitly listed. They are handled anyway.
  - SPDX
* multiplexer
  - SPDX
* qcom-vadc

843429708e iio: hx711: fix spurious unit-address in example
Device tree compiler (dtc) gives a warning if a device node has "@" with a
following number as it's name but no reg property.

Fix the example in the documentation of avia,hx711 to conform to dtc

7f310e5d07 iio: hx711: add clock-frequency property in DT
Add clock-frequency property for hx711 ADC. This is the frequency of
PD_SCK.

After PD_SCK goes high DOUT is read just before PD_SCK goes down again.
This is necessary because of parasitic capacitance on the wiring.
