Instead of having constants.c littered with ifdef statements we should

9e5ed2a5b3 scsi: use external buffer for command logging
Use an external buffer for __scsi_print_command() and move command
logging over to use the per-cpu logging buffer. With that we can
guarantee the command always will always be formatted in one line.
So we can even print out a variable length command correctly across
several lines. Finally rename __scsi_print_command() to
__scsi_format_comment() to better reflect the functionality.

2b20b6164e soc/tegra: pmc: restrict compilation of suspend-related support to ARM
Tegra SoCs with 64-bit ARM support don't currently support deep CPU
low-power states in mainline Linux. When this support is added in the
future, it will probably look rather different from the existing
32-bit ARM support, since the ARM64 maintainers' strong preference is
to use PSCI to implement it.

So, for the time being, prevent the CPU suspend-related code and data
in the Tegra PMC driver from compiling on ARM64.

Next batch of atomic work. Most important is the propertification from Rob
and the nth iteration of the actual atomic ioctl originally from Ville.
Big differences compared to earlier revisions:
- Core properties are now fully handled by the core, drivers can only
  handle driver-specific properties.
- Atomic props&ioctl are opt-in per file_priv, userspace needs to
  explicitly ask for it (like universal plane support).
- For now all hidden behind the atomic module option until this has

- Atomic modesets are currently not possible since the exact abi for how

Besides this some cleanup patches from me and the addition of per-object

75069f2b5b vfs: renumber FMODE_NONOTIFY and add to uniqueness check
Fix clashing values for O_PATH and FMODE_NONOTIFY on sparc. The
clashing O_PATH value was added in commit 5229645bdc ("vfs: add
nonconflicting values for O_PATH") but this can't be changed as it is
user-visible.

FMODE_NONOTIFY is only used internally in the kernel, but it is in the
same numbering space as the other O_* flags, as indicated by the comment
at the top of include/uapi/asm-generic/fcntl.h (and its use in
fs/notify/fanotify/fanotify_user.c). So renumber it to avoid the clash.

All of this has happened before (commit 12ed2e36c9: "fanotify:
FMODE_NONOTIFY and __O_SYNC in sparc conflict"), and all of this will
happen again -- so update the uniqueness check in fcntl_init() to
include __FMODE_NONOTIFY.

2d6d7f9828 mm: protect set_page_dirty() from ongoing truncation
Tejun, while reviewing the code, spotted the following race condition
between the dirtying and truncation of a page:

__set_page_dirty_nobuffers()       __delete_from_page_cache()
  if (TestSetPageDirty(page))
                                     page->mapping = NULL
				     if (PageDirty())
				       dec_zone_page_state(page, NR_FILE_DIRTY);
				       dec_bdi_stat(mapping->backing_dev_info, BDI_RECLAIMABLE);
    if (page->mapping)
      account_page_dirtied(page)
        __inc_zone_page_state(page, NR_FILE_DIRTY);
	__inc_bdi_stat(mapping->backing_dev_info, BDI_RECLAIMABLE);

which results in an imbalance of NR_FILE_DIRTY and BDI_RECLAIMABLE.

Dirtiers usually lock out truncation, either by holding the page lock
directly, or in case of zap_pte_range(), by pinning the mapcount with
the page table lock held. The notable exception to this rule, though,
is do_wp_page(), for which this race exists. However, do_wp_page()
already waits for a locked page to unlock before setting the dirty bit,
in order to prevent a race where clear_page_dirty() misses the page bit
in the presence of dirty ptes. Upgrade that wait to a fully locked
set_page_dirty() to also cover the situation explained above.

Afterwards, the code in set_page_dirty() dealing with a truncation race
is no longer needed. Remove it.

7a3ef208e6 mm: prevent endless growth of anon_vma hierarchy
Constantly forking task causes unlimited grow of anon_vma chain. Each
next child allocates new level of anon_vmas and links vma to all
previous levels because pages might be inherited from any level.

This patch adds heuristic which decides to reuse existing anon_vma
instead of forking new one. It adds counter anon_vma->degree which
counts linked vmas and directly descending anon_vmas and reuses anon_vma
if counter is lower than two. As a result each anon_vma has either vma
or at least two descending anon_vmas. In such trees half of nodes are
leafs with alive vmas, thus count of anon_vmas is no more than two times
bigger than count of vmas.

This heuristic reuses anon_vmas as few as possible because each reuse
adds false aliasing among vmas and rmap walker ought to scan more ptes
when it searches where page is might be mapped.

bfa21a0dfe regulator: Allow parsing custom properties when using simplified DT parsing
When drivers use simplified DT parsing method (they provide
'regulator_desc.of_match') they still may want to parse custom
properties for some of the regulators. For example some of the
regulators support GPIO enable control.

Add a driver-supplied callback for such case. This way the regulator
core parses common bindings offloading a lot of code from drivers and
still custom properties may be used.

The callback, called for each parsed regulator, may modify the

e61f7d1c3c libata: Whitelist SSDs that are known to properly return zeroes after TRIM
As defined, the DRAT (Deterministic Read After Trim) and RZAT (Return
Zero After Trim) flags in the ATA Command Set are unreliable in the
sense that they only define what happens if the device successfully
executed the DSM TRIM command. TRIM is only advisory, however, and the
device is free to silently ignore all or parts of the request.

In practice this renders the DRAT and RZAT flags completely useless and
because the results are unpredictable we decided to disable discard in
MD for 3.18 to avoid the risk of data corruption.

Hardware vendors in the real world obviously need better guarantees than
what the standards bodies provide. Unfortuntely those guarantees are
encoded in product requirements documents rather than somewhere we can
key off of them programatically. So we are compelled to disabling
discard_zeroes_data for all devices unless we explicitly have data to
support whitelisting them.

This patch whitelists SSDs from a few of the main vendors. None of the
whitelists are based on written guarantees. They are purely based on
empirical evidence collected from internal and external users that have
tested or qualified these drives in RAID deployments.

The whitelist is only meant as a starting point and is by no means
comprehensive:

   - All intel SSD models except for 510
   - Micron M5?0/M600
   - Samsung SSDs
   - Seagate SSDs

6de39808cf nl80211: support per-TID station statistics
The base for the current statistics is pretty mixed up, support
exporting RX/TX statistics for MSDUs per TID. This (currently)
covers received MSDUs, transmitted MSDUs and retries/failures
thereof.

Doing it per TID for MSDUs makes more sense than say only per AC
because it's symmetric - we could export per-AC statistics for all
frames (which AC we used for transmission can be determined also
for management frames) but per TID is better and usually data
frames are really the ones we care about. Also, on RX we can't
determine the AC - but we do know the TID for any QoS MPDU we
received.

a76b1942a1 cfg80211: add nl80211 beacon-only statistics
Add these two values:
 * BEACON_RX: number of beacons received from this peer
 * BEACON_SIGNAL_AVG: signal strength average for beacons only

These can then be used for Android Lollipop's statistics request.

319090bf6c cfg80211: remove enum station_info_flags
This is really just duplicating the list of information that's
already available in the nl80211 attribute, so remove the list.
Two small changes are needed:
 * remove STATION_INFO_ASSOC_REQ_IES complete, but the length
   (assoc_req_ies_len) can be used instead
 * add NL80211_STA_INFO_RX_DROP_MISC which exists internally
   but not in nl80211 yet

This gets rid of the duplicate maintenance of the two lists.

2b9a7e1bac mac80211: allow drivers to provide most station statistics
In many cases, drivers can filter things like beacons that will
skew statistics reported by mac80211. To get correct statistics
in these cases, call drivers to obtain statistics and let them
override all values, filling values from mac80211 if the driver
didn't provide them. Not all of them make sense for the driver
to fill, so some are still always done by mac80211.

Note that this doesn't currently allow a driver to say "I know
this value is wrong, don't report it at all", or to sum it up
with a mac80211 value (as could be useful for "dropped misc"),
that can be added if it turns out to be needed.

This also gets rid of the get_rssi() method as is can now be
implemented using sta_statistics().

cf5ead822d cfg80211: allow including station info in delete event
When a station is removed, its statistics may be interesting to
userspace, for example for further aggregation of statistics of
all stations that ever connected to an AP.

Introduce a new cfg80211_del_sta_sinfo() function (and make the
cfg80211_del_sta() a static inline calling it) to allow passing
a struct station_info along with this, and send the data in the
nl80211 event message.

548cd3ab54 mtd: spi-nor: Add quad I/O support for Micron SPI NOR
This patch adds code which enables Quad I/O mode on Micron SPI NOR flashes.

For Micron SPI NOR flash, enabling or disabling quad I/O protocol can be
done By two methods, which are to use EVCR (Enhanced Volatile
Configuration Register) and the ENTER QUAD I/O MODE command. There is no
difference between these two methods. Unfortunately, for some Micron SPI
NOR flashes, there no ENTER Quad I/O command (35h), such as n25q064. But
for all current Micron SPI NOR, if it support quad I/O mode, using EVCR
definitely be supported. It is a recommended method to enable Quad I/O
mode by EVCR, Quad I/O protocol bit 7. When EVCR bit 7 is reset to 0,
the SPI NOR flash will operate in quad I/O mode.

This patch has been tested on N25Q512A and MT25TL256BAA1ESF. Micron SPI
NOR of spi_nor_ids[] table all support this method.

ce64c8b9cf ASoC: Add helper function for changing the DAI link format
For some setups it is necessary to change the DAI link format at runtime.
This patch factors out the code that does the initial static DAI link format

to reuse it instead of having to manually change the format on all DAIs.
