eea2f44870 selftests: mptcp: get stats just before timing out
Recently, some debugging happened around a test that was timing out. The
stats were showing connections being closed which was confusing because
the closing state was caused by the timeout stopping the transfer.

To avoid such confusion, the timeout is no longer done per mptcp_connect
process, but separately. In case of timeout, the stats are now printed,
then the apps are killed.

The stats will still be printed after the kill, but that's fine, and
this might even be useful, just in case. Timeout should be exceptional.

8c1fe0a500 selftests: mptcp: connect: avoid double packet traces
When the same netns is used for the listener and the connector, no need
to take exactly the same packet trace twice, one is enough.

This avoids confusions when the traces are the same, and wasting
resources which might not help reproducing an issue.

While at it, avoid long lines and double spaces now that these lines are
no longer aligned.

71388a9f33 selftests: mptcp: lib: get counters from nstat history
Before, 'nstat' was used to retrieve each individual counter: this means
querying 4 different sources from /proc/net and iterating over 100+
counters each time. Instead, the stats could be retrieved once, and the
output file could be parsed for each counter. Even better, such file is
already present: the nstat history file.

To be able to get this working, the nstat history file also needs to
contains zero counters too, so it is still possible to know if a counter
is missing or set to 0.

This also simplifies mptcp_connect.sh: instead of checking multiple
counters before and after a test to compute the difference, the stats
history files can be reset before each test, and nstat can display only
the difference.

mptcp_lib_get_counter() continues to work when no history file is
available: by fetching nstat directly, like before. This is the case in
diag.sh and userspace_pm.sh where there is no need to save the history
file. This is also the case in mptcp_join.sh, when 'run_tests' is
executed in the background: easier to continue fetching counters than
updating the history each time it is needed.

Note: 'nstat' is called with '-s' in mptcp_lib_nstat_get(), so this
helper can be called multiple times during the test if needed.

63c643aa7b selftests: mptcp: connect: fix fallback note due to OoO
The "fallback due to TCP OoO" was never printed because the stat_ooo_now
variable was checked twice: once in the parent if-statement, and one in
the child one. The second condition was then always true then, and the
'else' branch was never taken.

The idea is that when there are more ACK + MP_CAPABLE than expected, the
test either fails if there was no out of order packets, or a notice is
printed.

a92d1db0c9 selftests: mptcp: connect: remove duplicated spaces in TAP output
It is nice to have a visual alignment in the test output to present the

7a1b3490f4 mptcp: don't account accept() of non-MPC client as fallback to TCP
Current MPTCP servers increment MPTcpExtMPCapableFallbackACK when they
accept non-MPC connections. As reported by Christoph, this is "surprising"
because the counter might become greater than MPTcpExtMPCapableSYNRX.

MPTcpExtMPCapableFallbackACK counter's name suggests it should only be
incremented when a connection was seen using MPTCP options, then a
fallback to TCP has been done. Let's do that by incrementing it when
the subflow context of an inbound MPC connection attempt is dropped.
Also, update mptcp_connect.sh kselftest, to ensure that the
above MIB does not increment in case a pure TCP client connects to a
MPTCP server.

747ba8783a selftests: mptcp: print test results with colors
To unify the output formats of all test scripts, this patch adds
four more helpers:

	mptcp_lib_pr_ok()
	mptcp_lib_pr_skip()

	mptcp_lib_pr_info()

to print out [ OK ], [SKIP], [FAIL] and 'INFO: ' with colors. Use them
in all scripts to print the "ok/skip/fail/info' using the same 'format'.

Having colors helps to quickly identify issues when looking at a long

Note that now all print the same keywords, which was not the case

e3aae1098f selftests: mptcp: connect: fix shellcheck warnings
shellcheck recently helped to prevent issues. It is then good to fix the
other harmless issues in order to spot "real" ones later.

Here, two categories of warnings are now ignored:

- SC2317: Command appears to be unreachable. The cleanup() function is
invoked indirectly via the EXIT trap.

- SC2086: Double quote to prevent globbing and word splitting. This is
recommended, but the current usage is correct and there is no need to
do all these modifications to be compliant with this rule.

For the modifications:

  - SC2034: ksft_skip appears unused.
  - SC2181: Check exit code directly with e.g. 'if mycmd;', not
            indirectly with $?.
  - SC2004: $/${} is unnecessary on arithmetic variables.
  - SC2155: Declare and assign separately to avoid masking return
            values.
  - SC2166: Prefer [ p ] && [ q ] as [ p -a q ] is not well defined.
  - SC2059: Don't use variables in the printf format string. Use printf
            '..%s..' "$foo".

Now this script is shellcheck (0.9.0) compliant. We can easily spot new
issues.

dd350f46e3 selftests: mptcp: connect: format subtests results in TAP
The current selftests infrastructure formats the results in TAP 13. This
version doesn't support subtests and only the end result of each
selftest is taken into account. It means that a single issue in a
subtest of a selftest containing multiple subtests forces the whole
selftest to be marked as failed. It also means that subtests results are
not tracked by CIs executing selftests.

MPTCP selftests run hundreds of various subtests. It is then important
to track each of them and not one result per selftest.

It is particularly interesting to do that when validating stable kernels
with the last version of the test suite: tests might fail because a
feature is not supported but the test didn't skip that part. In this
case, if subtests are not tracked, the whole selftest will be marked as
failed making the other subtests useless because their results are
ignored.

This patch formats subtests results in TAP in mptcp_connect.sh selftest.

ca7ae89160 selftests: mptcp: mptfo Initiator/Listener
This patch first adds TFO support in mptcp_connect.c.

This can be enabled via a new option: -o MPTFO.

Once enabled, the TCP_FASTOPEN socket option is enabled for the server
side and a sendto() with MSG_FASTOPEN is used instead of a connect() for
the client side.

Note that the first SYN has a limit of bytes it can carry. In other
words, it is allowed to send less data than the provided one. We then
need to track more status info to properly allow the next sendmsg()
starting from the next part of the data to send the rest.

Also in TFO scenarios, we need to completely spool the partially xmitted
buffer -- and account for that -- before starting sendfile/mmap xmit,
otherwise the relevant tests will fail.

63bb8239d8 selftests: mptcp: do complete cleanup at exit
After commit 05be5e273c ("selftests: mptcp: add disconnect tests")
the mptcp selftests leave behind a couple of tmp files after
each run. run_tests_disconnect() misnames a few variables used to
track them. Address the issue setting the appropriate global variables

24720d7452 selftests: mptcp: add csum mib check for mptcp_connect
This patch added the data checksum error mib counters check for the
script mptcp_connect.sh when the data checksum is enabled.

In do_transfer(), got the mib counters twice, before and after running
the mptcp_connect commands. The latter minus the former is the actual
number of the data checksum mib counter.

The output looks like this:

ns1 MPTCP -> ns2 (dead:beef:1::2:10007) MPTCP   (duration    86ms) [ OK ]
ns1 MPTCP -> ns2 (10.0.2.1:10008      ) MPTCP   (duration    66ms) [ FAIL ]
server got 1 data checksum error[s]
