5fbea33740 r8169:update rtl8168g pcie ephy parameter
Add ephy parameter to rtl8168g.
Also change the common function of rtl8168g from "rtl_hw_start_8168g_1" to
 "rtl_hw_start_8168g". And function "rtl_hw_start_8168g_1" is used for
setting rtl8168g hardware parameters.

Following is the explanation of what hardware parameter change for.
rtl8168g may erroneous judge the PCIe signal quality and show the error bit
on PCI configuration space when in PCIe low power mode.
The following ephy parameters are for above issue.

{ 0x0c, 0x37d0,	0x0820 }
{ 0x1e, 0x0000,	0x0001 }

rtl8168g may return to PCIe L0 from PCIe L0s low power mode too slow.

7855f675e6 net: dsa: bcm_sf2: force link for all fixed PHY devices
For ports of the switch that we define as "fixed PHYs" such as MoCA, we
would have our Port 7 special handling that would allow us to assert the
link status indication.

For other ports, such as e.g: RGMII_1 connected to a cable modem, we
would rely on whatever the bootloader has left configured, which is a
bad assumption to make, we really need to force the link status
indication here.

124b74c18e fm10k/igb/ixgbe: Use dma_rmb on Rx descriptor reads
This change makes it so that dma_rmb is used when reading the Rx
descriptor.  The advantage of dma_rmb is that it allows for a much
lower cost barrier on x86, powerpc, arm, and arm64 architectures than a
traditional memory barrier when dealing with reads that only have to
synchronize to coherent memory.

In addition I have updated the code so that it just checks to see if any
bits have been set instead of just the DD bit since the DD bit will always
be set as a part of a descriptor write-back so we just need to check for a
non-zero value being present at that memory location rather than just
checking for any specific bit.  This allows the code itself to appear much
cleaner and allows the compiler more room to optimize.

a075013870 r8169: Use dma_rmb() and dma_wmb() for DescOwn checks
The r8169 use a pair of wmb() calls when setting up the descriptor rings.
The first is to synchronize the descriptor data with the descriptor status,
and the second is to synchronize the descriptor status with the use of the
MMIO doorbell to notify the device that descriptors are ready.  This can
come at a heavy price on some systems, and is not really necessary on
systems such as x86 as a simple barrier() would suffice to order store/store
accesses.  As such we can replace the first memory barrier with
dma_wmb() to reduce the cost for these accesses.

In addition the r8169 uses a rmb() to prevent compiler optimization in the
cleanup paths, however by moving the barrier down a few lines and replacing
it with a dma_rmb() we should be able to use it to guarantee
descriptor accesses do not occur until the device has updated the DescOwn
bit from its end.

One last change I made is to move the update of cur_tx in the xmit path to
after the wmb.  This way we can guarantee the device and all CPUs should
see the DescOwn update before they see the cur_tx value update.

b123429e6a cxl: Unmap MMIO regions when detaching a context
If we need to force detach a context (e.g. due to EEH or simply force
unbinding the driver) we should prevent the userspace contexts from
being able to access the Problem State Area MMIO region further, which
they may have mapped with mmap().

This patch unmaps any mapped MMIO regions when detaching a userspace
context.

a98e6e9f4e cxl: Add timeout to process element commands
In the event that something goes wrong in the hardware and it is unable
to complete a process element comment we would end up polling forever,
effectively making the associated process unkillable.

This patch adds a timeout to the process element command code path, so
that we will give up if the hardware does not respond in a reasonable
time.

ee41d11d53 cxl: Change contexts_lock to a mutex to fix sleep while atomic bug
We had a known sleep while atomic bug if a CXL device was forcefully
unbound while it was in use. This could occur as a result of EEH, or
manually induced with something like this while the device was in use:

echo 0000:01:00.0 > /sys/bus/pci/drivers/cxl-pci/unbind

The issue was that in this code path we iterated over each context and
forcefully detached it with the contexts_lock spin lock held, however
the detach also needed to take the spu_mutex, and call schedule.

This patch changes the contexts_lock to a mutex so that we are not in
atomic context while doing the detach, thereby avoiding the sleep while
atomic.

Also delete the related TODO comment, which suggested an alternate
solution which turned out to not be workable.

f486d9dbcc HID: logitech-hidpp: disable io in probe error path
Balance a hid_device_io_start() call with hid_device_io_stop() in the
error path. This avoids processing of HID reports when the probe fails
which possibly leads to invalid memory access in hid_device_probe() as
report_enum->report_id_hash might already be freed via
hid_close_report().

hid_set_drvdata() is called before wtp_allocate, be consistent and clear
drvdata too on the error path of wtp_allocate.

1430ee73b5 HID: logitech-hidpp: check name retrieval return code
hidpp_devicenametype_get_device_name() may return a negative value on
protocol errors (for example, when the device is powered off).
Explicitly check this condition to avoid a long-running loop.

(0 cannot be returned as __name_length - index > 0, but check for it
anyway as it would otherwise result in an infinite loop.)

601a22f379 HID: wacom: Report input events for each finger on generic devices
The existing generic touch code only reports events after reading an
entire HID report, which practically means that only data about the last
contact in a report will ever be provided to userspace. This patch uses
a trick from hid-multitouch.c to discover what type of field is at the
end of each contact; when such a field is encountered all the stored
contact data will be reported.

4b1acc4333 i2c: core changes for slave support
Finally(!), make Linux support being an I2C slave. Most of the existing
infrastructure is reused. We mainly add i2c_slave_register/unregister()
calls which tells i2c bus drivers to activate the slave mode. Then, they
also get a callback to report slave events to.

   - Fixups: HP mute LED with ALC268 codec, Ideapad S210 built-in mic
     fix, ASUS Z99He laptop EAPD

  ASoC:
   - Conversion of AC'97 drivers to use regmap, bringing us closer to
     the removal of the ASoC level I/O code
   - Clean up a lot of old drivers that were open coding things that
     have subsequently been implemented in the core
   - Some DAPM performance improvements
   - Removal of the now seldom used CODEC mutex
   - Lots of updates for the newer Intel SoC support, including support
     for the DSP and some Cherrytrail and Braswell machine drivers
   - Support for Samsung boards using rt5631 as the CODEC
   - Removal of the obsolete AFEB9260 machine driver
   - Driver support for the TI TS3A227E headset driver used in some
     Chrombeooks

  Others:
   - ASIHPI driver update and cleanups

95c97b5941 ipmi: Check the BT interrupt enable periodically
On a reset, the BMC may reset the BT enable in the processor
registers (different than the global enables in the BMC).  Check
it periodically and fix it if necessary.

a8df150c5d ipmi: Fix attention handling for system interfaces
If an attention came in while handling a message response, it
could cause the state machine to go into the wrong mode and lock
things up if the state machine wasn't in normal mode.  So if the
state machine is not in normal mode, save the attention flag for
later.

d9b7e4f717 ipmi: Periodically check to see if irqs and messages are set right
The BMC can be reset while we are running; that means the interrupt
and event message buffer settings may be wrong.  So periodically
check to see if these values are correct, and fix them if they
are wrong.

6a11e5c67a drivers/char/ipmi: Add powernv IPMI driver
This change adds an initial IPMI driver for powerpc OPAL firmware. The
interface is exposed entirely through firmware: we have two functions to
send and receive IPMI messages, and an interrupt notification from the
firmware to signify that a message is available.

interfaces only need to handle one message at a time.  Pull out
the message queue.  This also leads to some significant
simplification in the shutdown of an interface, since the

7ea0ed2b5b ipmi: Make the message handler easier to use for SMI interfaces
The message handler expected the SMI interface to keep a queue of
messages, but that was kind of silly, the queue would be easier to
manage in the message handler itself.  As part of that, fix the
message cleanup to make sure no messages are outstanding when an
SMI interface is unregistered.  This makes it easier for an SMI
interface to unregister, it just has to call ipmi_unregister_smi()
first and all processing from the message handler will be cleaned
up.

fe54303ee2 NVMe: fix retry/error logic in nvme_queue_rq()
The logic around retrying and erroring IO in nvme_queue_rq() is broken
in a few ways:

- If we fail allocating dma memory for a discard, we return retry. We
  have the 'iod' stored in ->special, but we free the 'iod'.

- For a normal request, if we fail dma mapping of setting up prps, we
  have the same iod situation. Additionally, we haven't set the callback
  for the request yet, so we also potentially leak IOMMU resources.

Get rid of the ->special 'iod' store. The retry is uncommon enough that
it's not worth optimizing for or holding on to resources to attempt to
speed it up. Additionally, it's usually best practice to free any
request related resources when doing retries.
