8f44c9a413 brcmfmac: fix possible buffer overflow in brcmf_cfg80211_mgmt_tx()
The lower level nl80211 code in cfg80211 ensures that "len" is between
25 and NL80211_ATTR_FRAME (2304).  We subtract DOT11_MGMT_HDR_LEN (24) from
"len" so thats's max of 2280. However, the action_frame->data[] buffer is
only BRCMF_FIL_ACTION_FRAME_SIZE (1800) bytes long so this memcpy() can
overflow.

	memcpy(action_frame->data, &buf[DOT11_MGMT_HDR_LEN],
	       le16_to_cpu(action_frame->len));

123fef3fd4 brcmfmac: switch to using cfg80211_connect_done()
The driver used cfg80211_connect_result() which is basically a wrapper
around cfg80211_connect_done() passing a subset of the information that
can be passed. For upcoming functionality this is not sufficient so
switching to use cfg80211_connect_done().

dca2307ed6 brcmfmac: fix double free upon register_netdevice() failure
The function brcmf_net_attach() can only fail when register_netdevice()
fails. When this happens register_netdevice() calls priv_destructor, ie.
brcmf_cfg80211_free_netdev() freeing the vif instance. Also upon this
failure brcmf_net_attach() calls free_netdev(). However, callers are also
doing cleanup resulting in double free. In some places they need netdev
private space as it holds parameters to communicate with the device. So
we want to do the cleanup only in callers of brcmf_net_attach() by making
the following changes:

 - set priv_destructor after register_netdevice() succeeds.
 - remove call to free_netdev() in brcmf_net_attach().
 - call free_netdev() in brcmf_net_detach() for unregistered netdev.
 - add free_netdev() if brcmf_net_attach() fails for a created interface.

wireless-drivers-next patches for 4.13

New features and bug fixes to quite a few different drivers, but
nothing really special standing out.

What makes me happy that we have now more vendors actively
contributing to upstream drivers. In this pull request we have patches
from Broadcom, Intel, Qualcomm, Realtek and Redpine Signals, and I
still have patches from Marvell and Quantenna pending in patchwork. Now
that's something comparing to how things looked 11 years ago in Jeff
Garzik's "State of the Union: Wireless" email:

https://lkml.org/lkml/2006/1/5/671

Major changes:

wil6210

* add low level RF sector interface via nl80211 vendor commands

* add module parameter ftm_mode to load separate firmware for factory
  testing

* support devices with different PCIe bar size

* add support for PCIe D3hot in system suspend

* remove ioctl interface which should not be in a wireless driver

ath10k

* go back to using dma_alloc_coherent() for firmware scratch memory

* add per chain RSSI reporting

brcmfmac

* add support multi-scheduled scan

* add scheduled scan support for specified BSSIDs

* add support for brcm43430 revision 0

wlcore

* add wil1285 compatible

rsi

* add RS9113 USB support

iwlwifi

* FW API documentation improvements (for tools and htmldoc)

* continuing work for the new A000 family

* bump the maximum supported FW API to 31

* improve the differentiation between 8000, 9000 and A000 families

efc2c1fa8e brcmfmac: add support multi-scheduled scan
This change adds support for multi-scheduled scan in the driver. It
currently relies on g-scan support in firmware and will set struct
wiphy::max_sched_scan_reqs accordingly. This is limited to 16 concurrent
requests.

The firmware currently has a limit of 64 channels that can be configured
for all requests in total regardless whether there are duplicates. So if
a request uses 35 channels there are 29 channels left for another request.
When user-space does not specify any channels cfg80211 will add all
channels defined by the wiphy instance to the request, which makes
reaching the limit rather easy for dual-band devices.

cf124db566 net: Fix inconsistent teardown and release of private netdev state.
Network devices can allocate reasources and private memory using
netdev_ops->ndo_init(). However, the release of these resources
can occur in one of two different places.

Either netdev_ops->ndo_uninit() or netdev->destructor().

The decision of which operation frees the resources depends upon
whether it is necessary for all netdev refs to be released before it
is safe to perform the freeing.

netdev_ops->ndo_uninit() presumably can occur right after the
NETDEV_UNREGISTER notifier completes and the unicast and multicast
address lists are flushed.

netdev->destructor(), on the other hand, does not run until the
netdev references all go away.

Further complicating the situation is that netdev->destructor()
almost universally does also a free_netdev().

This creates a problem for the logic in register_netdevice().
Because all callers of register_netdevice() manage the freeing
of the netdev, and invoke free_netdev(dev) if register_netdevice()
fails.

If netdev_ops->ndo_init() succeeds, but something else fails inside
of register_netdevice(), it does call ndo_ops->ndo_uninit(). But
it is not able to invoke netdev->destructor().

This is because netdev->destructor() will do a free_netdev() and
then the caller of register_netdevice() will do the same.

However, this means that the resources that would normally be released
by netdev->destructor() will not be.

Over the years drivers have added local hacks to deal with this, by
invoking their destructor parts by hand when register_netdevice()
fails.

Many drivers do not try to deal with this, and instead we have leaks.

Let's close this hole by formalizing the distinction between what
private things need to be freed up by netdev->destructor() and whether
the driver needs unregister_netdevice() to perform the free_netdev().

netdev->priv_destructor() performs all actions to free up the private
resources that used to be freed by netdev->destructor(), except for
free_netdev().

netdev->needs_free_netdev is a boolean that indicates whether
free_netdev() should be done at the end of unregister_netdevice().

Now, register_netdevice() can sanely release all resources after
ndo_ops->ndo_init() succeeds, by invoking both ndo_ops->ndo_uninit()
and netdev->priv_destructor().

And at the end of unregister_netdevice(), we invoke
netdev->priv_destructor() and optionally call free_netdev().

ca986ad9bc nl80211: allow multiple active scheduled scan requests
This patch implements the idea to have multiple scheduled scan requests
running concurrently. It mainly illustrates how to deal with the incoming
request from user-space in terms of backward compatibility. In order to
use multiple scheduled scans user-space needs to provide a flag attribute
NL80211_ATTR_SCHED_SCAN_MULTI to indicate support. If not the request is
treated as a legacy scan.

Drivers currently supporting scheduled scan are now indicating they support
a single scheduled scan request. This obsoletes WIPHY_FLAG_SUPPORTS_SCHED_SCAN.

c8d870794d brcmfmac: drop unneeded function declarations from headers
Functions brcmf_c_prec_enq and brcmf_sdio_init don't exist so we

ab99063f87 brcmfmac: setup wiphy bands after registering it first
During bands setup we disable all channels that firmware doesn't support
in the current regulatory setup. If we do this before wiphy_register
it will result in copying set flags (including IEEE80211_CHAN_DISABLED)
to the orig_flags which is supposed to be persistent. We don't want this
as regulatory change may result in enabling some channels. We shouldn't
mess with orig_flags then (by changing them or ignoring them) so it's
better to just take care of their proper values.

This patch cleanups code a bit (by taking orig_flags more seriously) and
allows further improvements like disabling really unavailable channels.
We will need that e.g. if some frequencies should be disabled for good
due to hardware setup (design).

9ea0c30760 brcmfmac: don't preset all channels as disabled
During init we take care of regulatory stuff by disabling all
unavailable channels (see brcmf_construct_chaninfo) so this predisabling
them is not really required (and this patch won't change any behavior).
It will on the other hand allow more detailed runtime control over
channels which is the main reason for this change.

77c0d0cd10 brcmfmac: avoid writing channel out of allocated array
Our code was assigning number of channels to the index variable by
default. If firmware reported channel we didn't predict this would
result in using that initial index value and writing out of array. This
never happened so far (we got a complete list of supported channels) but
it means possible memory corruption so we should handle it anyway.

This patch simply detects unexpected channel and ignores it.

As we don't try to create new entry now, it's also safe to drop hw_value
and center_freq assignment. For known channels we have these set anyway.

I decided to fix this issue by assigning NULL or a target channel to the
channel variable. This was one of possible ways, I prefefred this one as
it also avoids using channel[index] over and over.
