The setup process previously combined error handling and retry gating
under one condition. As a result, the final failed attempt exited
without performing cleanup.
Update the failure path to always perform power and port cleanup on
setup failure, and reopen the port only when retrying.

This was done entirely with mindless brute force, using
git grep -l '\<k[vmz]*alloc_objs*(.*, GFP_KERNEL)' |
xargs sed -i 's/\(alloc_objs*(.*\), GFP_KERNEL)/\1)/'
to convert the new alloc_obj() users that had a simple GFP_KERNEL
argument to just drop that argument.
Note that due to the extreme simplicity of the scripting, any slightly
more complex cases spread over multiple lines would not be triggered:
they definitely exist, but this covers the vast bulk of the cases, and
the resulting diff is also then easier to check automatically.
For the same reason the 'flex' versions will be done as a separate
conversion.

This is the result of running the Coccinelle script from
scripts/coccinelle/api/kmalloc_objs.cocci. The script is designed to
avoid scalar types (which need careful case-by-case checking), and
instead replace kmalloc-family calls that allocate struct or union
object instances:
Single allocations: kmalloc(sizeof(TYPE), ...)
are replaced with: kmalloc_obj(TYPE, ...)
Array allocations: kmalloc_array(COUNT, sizeof(TYPE), ...)
are replaced with: kmalloc_objs(TYPE, COUNT, ...)
Flex array allocations: kmalloc(struct_size(PTR, FAM, COUNT), ...)
are replaced with: kmalloc_flex(*PTR, FAM, COUNT, ...)
(where TYPE may also be *VAR)
The resulting allocations no longer return "void *", instead returning
"TYPE *".

Pull tty / serial driver updates from Greg KH:
"Here is the small amount of tty and serial driver updates for 7.0-rc1.
Nothing major in here at all, just some driver updates and minor
tweaks and cleanups including:
- sh-sci serial driver updates
- 8250 driver updates
- attempt to make the tty ports have their own workqueue, but was
reverted after testing found it to have problems on some platforms.
This will probably come back for 7.1 after it has been reworked and
resubmitted

On QCS9075 and QCA8275 platforms, the BT_EN pin is always pulled up by hw
and cannot be controlled by the host. As a result, in case of a firmware
crash, the host cannot trigger a cold reset. Instead, the BT controller
performs a warm restart on its own, without reloading the firmware.
This leads to the controller remaining in IBS_WAKE state, while the host
expects it to be in sleep mode. The mismatch causes HCI reset commands
to time out. Additionally, the driver does not clear internal flags
QCA_SSR_TRIGGERED and QCA_IBS_DISABLED, which blocks the reset sequence.
If the SSR duration exceeds 2 seconds, the host may enter TX sleep mode
due to tx_idle_timeout, further preventing recovery. Also, memcoredump_flag
is not cleared, so only the first SSR generates a coredump.
Tell the driver that the BT controller has undergone a proper restart sequence:
- Clear QCA_SSR_TRIGGERED and QCA_IBS_DISABLED flags after SSR.
- Add a 50ms delay to allow the controller to complete its warm reset.
- Reset tx_idle_timer to prevent the host from entering TX sleep mode.
- Clear memcoredump_flag to allow multiple coredump captures.
Apply these steps only when HCI_QUIRK_NON_PERSISTENT_SETUP is not set,
which indicates that BT_EN is defined in DTS and cannot be toggled.
Refer to the comment in include/net/bluetooth/hci.h for details on
HCI_QUIRK_NON_PERSISTENT_SETUP.

A different structure is stored in drvdata for the drivers which used
that duplicate function, but h4_recv_buf() assumes drvdata is always an
hci_uart structure.
Consequently, alignment and padding are now randomly corrupted for
btmtkuart, btnxpuart, and bpa10x in h4_recv_buf(), causing erratic
breakage.
Fix this by making the hci_uart structure the explicit argument to
h4_recv_buf(). Every caller already has a reference to hci_uart, and
already obtains the hci_hdev reference through it, so this actually
eliminates a redundant pointer indirection for all existing callers.

The 'quirks' member already ran out of bits on some platforms some time
ago. Replace the integer member by a bitmap in order to have enough bits
in future. Replace raw bit operations by accessor macros.

Some modules have BT_EN enabled via a hardware pull-up,
meaning it is not defined in the DTS and is not controlled
through the power sequence. In such cases, fall through
to follow the legacy flow.

Commit 3d05fc8223 ("Bluetooth: qca: set power_ctrl_enabled on NULL
returned by gpiod_get_optional()") accidentally changed the prevous
behavior where power control would be disabled without the BT_EN GPIO
only on QCA_WCN6750 and QCA_WCN6855 while also getting the error check
wrong. We should treat every IS_ERR() return value from
devm_gpiod_get_optional() as a reason to bail-out while we should only
set power_ctrl_enabled to false on the two models mentioned above. While
at it: use dev_err_probe() to save a LOC.

WCN3950 is another example of the WCN39xx BT/WiFI family of chips. It
requires different firmware files and has different current
requirements, so add it as a separate SoC type.
The firmware for these chips has been recently added to the
linux-firmware repository and will be a part of the upcoming release:

The hdev->reset is never used now and the hdev->cmd_timeout actually
does reset. This patch changes the call path from
hdev->cmd_timeout -> vendor_cmd_timeout -> btusb_reset -> hdev->reset
, to
hdev->reset -> vendor_reset -> btusb_reset
Which makes it clear when we export the hdev->reset to a wider usage
e.g. allowing reset from sysfs.
This patch doesn't introduce any behavior change.

Replace ternary (condition ? "enable" : "disable") syntax with helpers
from string_choices.h because:
1. Simple function call with one argument is easier to read. Ternary
operator has three arguments and with wrapping might lead to quite
long code.
2. Is slightly shorter thus also easier to read.
3. It brings uniformity in the text - same string.
4. Allows deduping by the linker, which results in a smaller binary
file.

The firmware-name property has been expanded to specify the names of NVM
and rampatch firmware for certain chips, such as the QCA6698 Bluetooth
chip. Although it shares the same IP core as the WCN6855, the QCA6698
has different RF components and RAM sizes, necessitating new firmware
files. This change allows for the configuration of NVM and rampatch in
DT.
Possible configurations:

On systems in the field, we are seeing this sometimes in the kernel logs:
Bluetooth: qca_controller_memdump() hci0: hci_devcd_init Return:-95
This means that _something_ decided that it wanted to get a memdump
but then hci_devcd_init() returned -EOPNOTSUPP (AKA -95).
The cleanup code in qca_controller_memdump() when we get back an error
from hci_devcd_init() undoes most things but forgets to clear
QCA_IBS_DISABLED. One side effect of this is that, during the next
suspend, qca_suspend() will always get a timeout.
Let's fix it so that we clear the bit.

This inverts the LE State quirk so by default we assume the controllers
would report valid states rather than invalid which is how quirks
normally behave, also this would result in HCI command failing it the LE
States are really broken thus exposing the controllers that are really
broken in this respect.

Now that we call pwrseq_power_off() for all models that hold a valid
power sequencing handle, we can remove the switch case for QCA_6390. The
switch will now use the default label for this model but that's fine: if
it has the BT-enable GPIO than we should use it.

In preparation for using the power sequencing subsystem on sm8650 boards
and X13s laptop let's make pwrseq the default for wcn7850 and wcn6855.
Both these models require an enable GPIO so we can safely assume that if
the property is not there, then we should try to get the power
sequencer. Due to how the pwrseq lookup works - checking the provider at
run-time - we cannot really do it the other way around as we'd get stuck
forever on -EPROBE_DEFER.
If the relevant OF node does have the 'enable-gpios' property, we
fallback to the existing code for backward compatibility with older DTs.

In preparation for unduplicating the hci_uart registration code,
schedule a devres action for disabling the SUSCLK rather than doing it
manually.
We cannot really use devm_clk_get_enabled() as we also set the rate
before enabling the clock. While this should in theory work, I don't
want to risk breaking existing users. One solution for the future is to
add devm_clk_get_enabled_with_rate() to the clock framework.

We unnecessarily fallthrough the case for QCA6390 when initializing the
device and hit the condition where - due to the lack of the enable-gpio
- we disable power management despite using the power sequencer. We don't
need to look for clocks on this model so it makes more sense to just
register the hci device and break the switch.

Commit 272970be3d ("Bluetooth: hci_qca: Fix driver shutdown on closed
serdev") will cause below regression issue:
BT can't be enabled after below steps:
cold boot -> enable BT -> disable BT -> warm reboot -> BT enable failure
if property enable-gpios is not configured within DT|ACPI for QCA6390.
The commit is to fix a use-after-free issue within qca_serdev_shutdown()
by adding condition to avoid the serdev is flushed or wrote after closed
but also introduces this regression issue regarding above steps since the
VSC is not sent to reset controller during warm reboot.
Fixed by sending the VSC to reset controller within qca_serdev_shutdown()
once BT was ever enabled, and the use-after-free issue is also fixed by
this change since the serdev is still opened before it is flushed or wrote.
Verified by the reported machine Dell XPS 13 9310 laptop over below two
kernel commits:

Qualcomm ROME controllers can be registered from the Bluetooth line
discipline and in this case the HCI UART serdev pointer is NULL.
Add the missing sanity check to prevent a NULL-pointer dereference when
setup() is called for a non-serdev controller.

Qualcomm ROME controllers can be registered from the Bluetooth line
discipline and in this case the HCI UART serdev pointer is NULL.
Add the missing sanity check to prevent a NULL-pointer dereference when
wakeup() is called for a non-serdev controller during suspend.
Just return true for now to restore the original behaviour and address
the crash with pre-6.2 kernels, which do not have commit e9b3e5b8c6
("Bluetooth: hci_qca: only assign wakeup with serial port support") that
causes the crash to happen already at setup() time.

Qualcomm Bluetooth controllers may not have been provisioned with a
valid device address and instead end up using the default address
00:00:00:00:5a:ad.
This was previously believed to be due to lack of persistent storage for
the address but it may also be due to integrators opting to not use the
on-chip OTP memory and instead store the address elsewhere (e.g. in
storage managed by secure world firmware).
According to Qualcomm, at least WCN6750, WCN6855 and WCN7850 have
on-chip OTP storage for the address.
As the device type alone cannot be used to determine when the address is
valid, instead read back the address during setup() and only set the
HCI_QUIRK_USE_BDADDR_PROPERTY flag when needed.
This specifically makes sure that controllers that have been provisioned
with an address do not start as unconfigured.

The WCN6855 firmware on the Lenovo ThinkPad X13s expects the Bluetooth
device address in big-endian order when setting it using the
EDL_WRITE_BD_ADDR_OPCODE command.
Presumably, this is the case for all non-ROME devices which all use the
EDL_WRITE_BD_ADDR_OPCODE command for this (unlike the ROME devices which
use a different command and expect the address in little-endian order).
Reverse the little-endian address before setting it to make sure that
the address can be configured using tools like btmgmt or using the
'local-bd-address' devicetree property.
Note that this can potentially break systems with boot firmware which
has started relying on the broken behaviour and is incorrectly passing
the address via devicetree in big-endian order.
The only device affected by this should be the WCN3991 used in some
Chromebooks. As ChromeOS updates the kernel and devicetree in lockstep,
the new 'qcom,local-bd-address-broken' property can be used to determine
if the firmware is buggy so that the underlying driver bug can be fixed
without breaking backwards compatibility.
Set the HCI_QUIRK_BDADDR_PROPERTY_BROKEN quirk for such platforms so
that the address is reversed when parsing the address property.

Qualcomm Bluetooth controllers like WCN6855 do not have persistent
storage for the Bluetooth address and must therefore start as
unconfigured to allow the user to set a valid address unless one has
been provided by the boot firmware in the devicetree.
A recent change snuck into v6.8-rc7 and incorrectly started marking the
default (non-unique) address as valid. This specifically also breaks the
Bluetooth setup for some user of the Lenovo ThinkPad X13s.
Note that this is the second time Qualcomm breaks the driver this way
and that this was fixed last year by commit 6945795bc8 ("Bluetooth:
fix use-bdaddr-property quirk"), which also has some further details.

The optional variants for the gpiod_get() family of functions return NULL
if the GPIO in question is not associated with this device. They return
ERR_PTR() on any other error. NULL descriptors are graciously handled by
GPIOLIB and can be safely passed to any of the GPIO consumer interfaces
as they will return 0 and act as if the function succeeded. If one is
using the optional variant, then there's no point in checking for NULL.

hci_coredump_qca() uses __hci_cmd_sync() to send a vendor-specific command
to trigger firmware coredump, but the command does not have any event as
its sync response, so it is not suitable to use __hci_cmd_sync(), fixed by
using __hci_cmd_send().

BT adapter going into UNCONFIGURED state during BT turn ON when
devicetree has no local-bd-address node.
Bluetooth will not work out of the box on such devices, to avoid this
problem, added check to set HCI_QUIRK_USE_BDADDR_PROPERTY based on
local-bd-address node entry.
When this quirk is not set, the public Bluetooth address read by host
from controller though HCI Read BD Address command is
considered as valid.

For QCA2066 HFP offload, HCI_Configure_Data_Path is not required since
present HCI_Enhanced_Setup_Synchronous_Connection is enough to configure
non-HCI data transport path when set both Input_Data_Path and
Output_Data_Path parameters as 0x01, as is implemented by this change.

This patch adds support for QCA2066 firmware patch and NVM downloading.
as the RF performance of QCA2066 SOC chip from different foundries may
vary. Therefore we use different NVM to configure them based on board ID.
