bf4afc53b7 Convert 'alloc_obj' family to use the new default GFP_KERNEL argument
This was done entirely with mindless brute force, using

    git grep -l '\<k[vmz]*alloc_objs*(.*, GFP_KERNEL)' |
        xargs sed -i 's/\(alloc_objs*(.*\), GFP_KERNEL)/\1)/'

to convert the new alloc_obj() users that had a simple GFP_KERNEL
argument to just drop that argument.

Note that due to the extreme simplicity of the scripting, any slightly
more complex cases spread over multiple lines would not be triggered:
they definitely exist, but this covers the vast bulk of the cases, and
the resulting diff is also then easier to check automatically.

For the same reason the 'flex' versions will be done as a separate
conversion.

69050f8d6d treewide: Replace kmalloc with kmalloc_obj for non-scalar types
This is the result of running the Coccinelle script from
scripts/coccinelle/api/kmalloc_objs.cocci. The script is designed to
avoid scalar types (which need careful case-by-case checking), and
instead replace kmalloc-family calls that allocate struct or union
object instances:

Single allocations:	kmalloc(sizeof(TYPE), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_obj(TYPE, ...)

Array allocations:	kmalloc_array(COUNT, sizeof(TYPE), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_objs(TYPE, COUNT, ...)

Flex array allocations:	kmalloc(struct_size(PTR, FAM, COUNT), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_flex(*PTR, FAM, COUNT, ...)

(where TYPE may also be *VAR)

The resulting allocations no longer return "void *", instead returning
"TYPE *".

1c2b4a4c2b Merge tag 'pci-v7.0-changes' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/pci/pci
Pull PCI updates from Bjorn Helgaas:
 "Enumeration:

   - Don't try to enable Extended Tags on VFs since that bit is Reserved
and causes misleading log messages (Håkon Bugge)

   - Initialize Endpoint Read Completion Boundary to match Root Port,
regardless of ACPI _HPX (Håkon Bugge)

   - Apply _HPX PCIe Setting Record only to AER configuration, and only
when OS owns PCIe hotplug but not AER, to avoid clobbering Extended
Tag and Relaxed Ordering settings (Håkon Bugge)

  Resource management:

   - Move CardBus code to setup-cardbus.c and only build it when
     CONFIG_CARDBUS is set (Ilpo Järvinen)

   - Fix bridge window alignment with optional resources, where
additional alignment requirement was previously lost (Ilpo
     Järvinen)

   - Stop over-estimating bridge window size since they are now assigned
without any gaps between them (Ilpo Järvinen)

   - Increase resource MAX_IORES_LEVEL to avoid /proc/iomem flattening
for nested bridges and endpoints (Ilpo Järvinen)

   - Add pbus_mem_size_optional() to handle sizes of optional resources
(SR-IOV VF BARs, expansion ROMs, bridge windows) (Ilpo Järvinen)

   - Don't claim disabled bridge windows to avoid spurious claim
     failures (Ilpo Järvinen)

  Driver binding:

   - Fix device reference leak in pcie_port_remove_service() (Uwe
     Kleine-König)

   - Move pcie_port_bus_match() and pcie_port_bus_type to PCIe-specific
     portdrv.c (Uwe Kleine-König)

   - Convert portdrv to use pcie_port_bus_type.probe() and .remove()
callbacks so .probe() and .remove() can eventually be removed from
     struct device_driver (Uwe Kleine-König)

  Error handling:

   - Clear stale errors on reporting agents upon probe so they don't
look like recent errors (Lukas Wunner)

   - Add generic RAS tracepoint for hotplug events (Shuai Xue)

   - Add RAS tracepoint for link speed changes (Shuai Xue)

  Power management:

   - Avoid redundant delay on transition from D3hot to D3cold if the
device was already in D3hot (Brian Norris)

   - Prevent runtime suspend until devices are fully initialized to
avoid saving incompletely configured device state (Brian Norris)

  Power control:

   - Add power_on/off callbacks with generic signature to pwrseq,
tc9563, and slot drivers so they can be used by pwrctrl core
     (Manivannan Sadhasivam)

   - Add PCIe M.2 connector support to the slot pwrctrl driver
     (Manivannan Sadhasivam)

   - Switch to pwrctrl interfaces to create, destroy, and power on/off
devices, calling them from host controller drivers instead of the
     PCI core (Manivannan Sadhasivam)

   - Drop qcom .assert_perst() callbacks since this is now done by the
controller driver instead of the pwrctrl driver (Manivannan
     Sadhasivam)

  Virtualization:

   - Remove an incorrect unlock in pci_slot_trylock() error handling
     (Jinhui Guo)

   - Lock the bridge device for slot reset (Keith Busch)

   - Enable ACS after IOMMU configuration on OF platforms so ACS is
enabled an all devices; previously the first device enumerated
(typically a Root Port) didn't have ACS enabled (Manivannan
     Sadhasivam)

   - Disable ACS Source Validation for IDT 0x80b5 and 0x8090 switches to
work around hardware erratum; previously ACS SV was only
temporarily disabled, which worked for enumeration but not after
     reset (Manivannan Sadhasivam)

  Peer-to-peer DMA:

   - Release per-CPU pgmap ref when vm_insert_page() fails to avoid hang
when removing the PCI device (Hou Tao)

   - Remove incorrect p2pmem_alloc_mmap() warning about page refcount
     (Hou Tao)

  Endpoint framework:

   - Add configfs sub-groups synchronously to avoid NULL pointer
dereference when racing with removal (Liu Song)

   - Fix swapped parameters in pci_{primary/secondary}_epc_epf_unlink()
     functions (Manikanta Maddireddy)

  ASPEED PCIe controller driver:

   - Add ASPEED Root Complex DT binding and driver (Jacky Chou)

  Freescale i.MX6 PCIe controller driver:

   - Add DT binding and driver support for an optional external refclock
in addition to the refclock from the internal PLL (Richard Zhu)

   - Fix CLKREQ# control so host asserts it during enumeration and
Endpoints can use it afterwards to exit the L1.2 link state
     (Richard Zhu)

  NVIDIA Tegra PCIe controller driver:

   - Export irq_domain_free_irqs() to allow PCI/MSI drivers that tear
down MSI domains to be built as modules (Aaron Kling)

   - Allow pci-tegra to be built as a module (Aaron Kling)

  NVIDIA Tegra194 PCIe controller driver:

   - Relax Kconfig so tegra194 can be built for platforms beyond
     Tegra194 (Vidya Sagar)

  Qualcomm PCIe controller driver:

   - Merge SC8180x DT binding into SM8150 (Krzysztof Kozlowski)

   - Move SDX55, SDM845, QCS404, IPQ5018, IPQ6018, IPQ8074 Gen3,
     IPQ8074, IPQ4019, IPQ9574, APQ8064, MSM8996, APQ8084 to dedicated
     schema (Krzysztof Kozlowski)

   - Add DT binding and driver support for SA8255p Endpoint being
     configured by firmware (Mrinmay Sarkar)

   - Parse PERST# from all PCIe bridge nodes for future platforms that
will have PERST# in Switch Downstream Ports as well as in Root
     Ports (Manivannan Sadhasivam)

  Renesas RZ/G3S PCIe controller driver:

   - Use pci_generic_config_write() since the writability provided by
the custom wrapper is unnecessary (Claudiu Beznea)

  SOPHGO PCIe controller driver:

   - Disable ASPM L0s and L1 on Sophgo 2044 PCIe Root Ports (Inochi
     Amaoto)

  Synopsys DesignWare PCIe controller driver:

   - Extend PCI_FIND_NEXT_CAP() and PCI_FIND_NEXT_EXT_CAP() to return a
pointer to the preceding Capability, to allow removal of
Capabilities that are advertised but not fully implemented (Qiang
     Yu)

   - Remove MSI and MSI-X Capabilities in platforms that can't support
them, so the PCI core automatically falls back to INTx (Qiang Yu)

   - Add ASPM L1.1 and L1.2 Substates context to debugfs ltssm_status
for drivers that support this (Shawn Lin)

   - Skip PME_Turn_Off broadcast and L2/L3 transition during suspend if
link is not up to avoid an unnecessary timeout (Manivannan
     Sadhasivam)

   - Revert dw-rockchip, qcom, and DWC core changes that used link-up
IRQs to trigger enumeration instead of waiting for link to be up
because the PCI core doesn't allocate bus number space for
hierarchies that might be attached (Niklas Cassel)

   - Make endpoint iATU entry for MSI permanent instead of programming
it dynamically, which is slow and racy with respect to other
concurrent traffic, e.g., eDMA (Koichiro Den)

   - Use iMSI-RX MSI target address when possible to fix endpoints using
     32-bit MSI (Shawn Lin)

   - Allow DWC host controller driver probe to continue if device is not
found or found but inactive; only fail when there's an error with
     the link (Manivannan Sadhasivam)

   - For controllers like NXP i.MX6QP and i.MX7D, where LTSSM registers
are not accessible after PME_Turn_Off, simply wait 10ms instead of
polling for L2/L3 Ready (Richard Zhu)

   - Use multiple iATU entries to map large bridge windows and DMA
ranges when necessary instead of failing (Samuel Holland)

   - Add EPC dynamic_inbound_mapping feature bit for Endpoint
Controllers that can update BAR inbound address translation without
requiring EPF driver to clear/reset the BAR first, and advertise it
     for DWC-based Endpoints (Koichiro Den)

   - Add EPC subrange_mapping feature bit for Endpoint Controllers that
can map multiple independent inbound regions in a single BAR,
implement subrange mapping, advertise it for DWC-based Endpoints,
and add Endpoint selftests for it (Koichiro Den)

   - Make resizable BARs work for Endpoint multi-PF configurations;
previously it only worked for PF 0 (Aksh Garg)

   - Fix Endpoint non-PF 0 support for BAR configuration, ATU mappings,
and Address Match Mode (Aksh Garg)

   - Set up iATU when ECAM is enabled; previously IO and MEM outbound
windows weren't programmed, and ECAM-related iATU entries weren't
restored after suspend/resume, so config accesses failed (Krishna
     Chaitanya Chundru)

  Miscellaneous:

   - Use system_percpu_wq and WQ_PERCPU to explicitly request per-CPU
work so WQ_UNBOUND can eventually be removed (Marco Crivellari)"

Pull irq core updates from Thomas Gleixner:
"Updates for the interrupt core subsystem:

   - Remove the interrupt timing infrastructure

This was added seven years ago to be used for power management
purposes, but that integration never happened.

   - Clean up the remaining setup_percpu_irq() users

The memory allocator is available when interrupts can be requested
so there is not need for static irq_action. Move the remaining
users to request_percpu_irq() and delete the historical cruft.

   - Warn when interrupt flag inconsistencies are detected in
     request*_irq().

Inconsistent flags can lead to hard to diagnose malfunction. The
fallout of this new warning has been addressed in next and the
fixes are coming in via the maintainer trees and the tip
     irq/cleanup pull requests.

   - Invoke affinity notifier when CPU hotplug breaks affinity

Otherwise the code using the notifier misses the affinity change
     and operates on stale information.

   - The usual cleanups and improvements"

0323897a88 irqdomain: Add parent field to struct irqchip_fwid
The GICv5 driver IRQ domain hierarchy requires adding a parent field to
struct irqchip_fwid so that core code can reference a fwnode_handle parent
for a given fwnode.

Add a parent field to struct irqchip_fwid and update the related kernel API
functions to initialize and handle it.

In irq_domain_set_name() a const pointer is passed in, and then the

87b0031f7f irqdomain: Add firmware info reporting interface
Add an irqdomain callback to report firmware-provided information that is
otherwise not available in a generic way. This is reported using a new data
structure (struct irq_fwspec_info).

This callback is optional and the only information that can be reported
currently is the affinity of an interrupt. However, the containing
structure is designed to be extensible, allowing other potentially relevant
information to be reported in the future.

a10024e671 irqdomain: Fix kernel-doc and add it to Documentation
irqdomain.c's kernel-doc exists, but is not plugged into Documentation/
yet.

Before plugging it in, fix it first: irq_domain_get_irq_data() and
irq_domain_set_info() were documented twice. Identically, by both
definitions for CONFIG_IRQ_DOMAIN_HIERARCHY and !CONFIG_IRQ_DOMAIN_HIERARCHY.

Therefore, switch the second kernel-doc into an ordinary comment -- change
"/**" to simple "/*". This avoids sphinx's: WARNING: Duplicate C
declaration

Next, in commit b7b377332b ("irqdomain: Fix the kernel-doc and plug it
into Documentation"), irqdomain.h's (header) kernel-doc was added into
core-api/genericirq.rst. But given the amount of irqdomain functions and
structures, move all these to core-api/irq/irq-domain.rst now.

Finally, add these newly fixed irqdomain.c's (source) docs there as
well.

24d02c4e53 irqdomain: Always associate interrupts for legacy domains
The unification of irq_domain_create_legacy() missed the fact that
interrupts must be associated even when the Linux interrupt number provided

1e7c052925 irqdomain: Allow giving name suffix for domain
Devices can provide multiple interrupt lines. One reason for this is that
a device has multiple subfunctions, each providing its own interrupt line.
Another reason is that a device can be designed to be used (also) on a
system where some of the interrupts can be routed to another processor.

A line often further acts as a demultiplex for specific interrupts
and has it's respective set of interrupt (status, mask, ack, ...)
registers.

Regmap supports the handling of these registers and demultiplexing
interrupts, but the interrupt domain code ends up assigning the same name
for the per interrupt line domains. This causes a naming collision in the
debugFS code and leads to confusion, as /proc/interrupts shows two separate
interrupts with the same domain name and hardware interrupt number.

Instead of adding a workaround in regmap or driver code, allow giving a
name suffix for the domain name when the domain is created.

Add a name_suffix field in the irq_domain_info structure and make
irq_domain_instantiate() use this suffix if it is given when a domain is
created.

70114e7f75 irqdomain: Simplify simple and legacy domain creation
irq_domain_create_simple() and irq_domain_create_legacy() use
__irq_domain_instantiate(), but have extra handling of allocating interrupt
descriptors and associating interrupts in them. Some of that is duplicated.

There are also call sites which have conditonals to invoke different
interrupt domain creator functions, where one of them is usually
irq_domain_create_legacy(). Alternatively they associate the interrupts for
the legacy case after creating the domain.

Moving the extra logic of irq_domain_create_simple()/legacy() into
__irq_domain_instantiate() allows to consolidate that.

Introduce hwirq_base and virq_base members in the irq_domain_info
structure, which allows to transport the required information and add the
conditional interrupt descriptor allocation and interrupt association into
__irq_domain_instantiate().

This reduces irq_domain_create_legacy() and irq_domain_create_simple() to
trivial wrappers which fill in the info structure and allows call sites
which must support the legacy case along with more modern mechanism to
select the domain type via the parameters of the info struct.

e6f67ce32e irqdomain: Add support for generic irq chips creation before publishing a domain
The current API functions create an irq_domain and also publish this
newly created to domain. Once an irq_domain is published, consumers can
request IRQ in order to use them.

Some interrupt controller drivers have to perform some more operations
with the created irq_domain in order to have it ready to be used.
For instance:
   - Allocate generic irq chips with irq_alloc_domain_generic_chips()
   - Retrieve the generic irq chips with irq_get_domain_generic_chip()
   - Initialize retrieved chips: set register base address and offsets,
set several hooks such as irq_mask, irq_unmask, ...

With the newly introduced irq_domain_alloc_generic_chips(), an interrupt
controller driver can use the irq_domain_chip_generic_info structure and
set the init() hook to perform its generic chips initialization.

In order to avoid a window where the domain is published but not yet
ready to be used, handle the generic chip creation (i.e the
irq_domain_alloc_generic_chips() call) before the domain is published.

24a4f4e485 irqdomain: Convert __irq_domain_create() to use struct irq_domain_info
The existing __irq_domain_create() use a bunch of parameters to create
an irq domain.

With the introduction of irq_domain_info structure, these parameters are
available in the information structure itself.
Using directly this information structure allows future flexibility to
add other parameters in a simple way without the need to change the
__irq_domain_create() prototype.

Convert __irq_domain_create() to use the information structure.

dbd56abffc irqdomain: Use a dedicated function to set the domain name
The interrupt domain name computation and setting is directly done in
__irq_domain_create(). This leads to a quite long __irq_domain_create()
function.

In order to simplify __irq_domain_create() and isolate the domain name
computation and setting, move the related operations to a dedicated
function.

299d623f5c irqdomain: Introduce irq_domain_instantiate()
The existing irq_domain_add_*() functions used to instantiate an IRQ
domain are wrappers built on top of __irq_domain_add() and describe the
domain properties using a bunch of parameters.

Adding more parameters and wrappers to hide new parameters in the
existing code lead to more and more code without any relevant value and
without any flexibility.

Introduce irq_domain_instantiate() where the interrupt domain properties
are given using a irq_domain_info structure instead of the bunch of
parameters to allow flexibility and easy evolution.

irq_domain_instantiate() performs the same operation as the one done by
__irq_domain_add(). For compatibility reason with existing code, keep
__irq_domain_add() but convert it to irq_domain_instantiate().

introduce irq_domain_free() to avoid code duplication on later
modifications.

This new function is an extraction of the current operations performed
to free the irq domain. No functional change intended.

6ce3e98184 irqdomain: Fixed unbalanced fwnode get and put
fwnode_handle_get(fwnode) is called when a domain is created with fwnode
passed as a function parameter. fwnode_handle_put(domain->fwnode) is called
when the domain is destroyed but during the creation a path exists that
does not set domain->fwnode.

If this path is taken, the fwnode get will never be put.

To avoid the unbalanced get and put, set domain->fwnode unconditionally.

a2ea3cd783 irqdomain: Check virq for 0 before use in irq_dispose_mapping()
It's a bit hard to read the logic since the virq is used before checking it
for 0. Rearrange the code to make it better to understand.

This, in particular, should clearly answer the question whether the caller
needs to perform this check or not, and there are plenty of places for both
variants, confirming a confusion.

Fun fact that the new code is shorter:

  Function old new delta
  irq_dispose_mapping 278 271 -7

5aa3c0cf5b genirq/irqdomain: Don't call ops->select for DOMAIN_BUS_ANY tokens
Users of the IRQCHIP_PLATFORM_DRIVER_{BEGIN,END} helpers rely on a fwspec
containing only the fwnode (and crucially a number of parameters set to 0)
together with a DOMAIN_BUS_ANY token to check whether a parent irqchip has
probed and registered a domain.

Since de1ff306dc ("genirq/irqdomain: Remove the param count restriction
from select()"), ops->select() is called unconditionally, meaning that
irqchips implementing select() now need to handle ANY as a match.

Instead of adding more esoteric checks to the individual drivers, add that
condition to irq_find_matching_fwspec(), and let it handle the corner case,
as per the comment in the function.

This restores the functionality of the above helpers.
