148e587953 selftests/mm: fix exit code in pagemap_ioctl 
Make sure pagemap_ioctl exits with an appropriate value:

* If the tests are run, call ksft_finished() to report the right
  status instead of reporting PASS unconditionally.

* Report SKIP if userfaultfd isn't available (in line with other
  tests)

* Report FAIL if we failed to open /proc/self/pagemap, as this file
  has been added a long time ago and doesn't depend on any CONFIG
  option (returning -EINVAL from main() is meaningless)

7e938f00b0 selftests/mm: fix faulting-in code in pagemap_ioctl test 
One of the pagemap_ioctl tests attempts to fault in pages by memcpy()'ing
them to an unused buffer.  This probably worked originally, but since
commit 46036188ea ("selftests/mm: build with -O2") the compiler is free
to optimise away that unused buffer and the memcpy() with it.  As a result
there might not be any resident page in the mapping and the test may fail.

We don't need to copy all that memory anyway.  Just fault in every page.

While at it also make sure to compute the number of pages once using
simple integer arithmetic instead of ceilf() and implicit conversions.

e6fbd1759c selftests: complete kselftest include centralization 
This follow-up patch completes centralization of kselftest.h and
ksefltest_harness.h includes in remaining seltests files, replacing all
relative paths with a non-relative paths using shared -I include path in
lib.mk

Tested with gcc-13.3 and clang-18.1, and cross-compiled successfully on
riscv, arm64, x86_64 and powerpc arch.

79dfed0976 selftests/mm: use calloc instead of malloc in pagemap_ioctl.c 
As per Documentation/process/deprecated.rst, dynamic size calculations
should not be performed in memory allocator arguments due to possible
overflows.

Replace malloc with calloc to avoid open-ended arithmetic and prevent
possible overflows.

5bbc2b785e selftests/mm: fix FORCE_READ to read input value correctly 
FORCE_READ() converts input value x to its pointer type then reads from
address x.  This is wrong.  If x is a non-pointer, it would be caught it
easily.  But all FORCE_READ() callers are trying to read from a pointer
and FORCE_READ() basically reads a pointer to a pointer instead of the
original typed pointer.  Almost no access violation was found, except the
one from split_huge_page_test.

Fix it by implementing a simplified READ_ONCE() instead.

3f6bfd4789 selftests/mm: reuse FORCE_READ to replace "asm volatile("" : "+r" (XXX));" 
Patch series "selftests/mm: reuse FORCE_READ to replace "asm volatile("" :
"+r" (XXX));" and some cleanup", v2.

This series introduces a common FORCE_READ() macro to replace the cryptic
asm volatile("" : "+r" (variable)); construct used in several mm
selftests.  This improves code readability and maintainability by removing
duplicated, hard-to-understand code.


This patch (of 2):

Several mm selftests use the `asm volatile("" : "+r" (variable));`
construct to force a read of a variable, preventing the compiler from
optimizing away the memory access.  This idiom is cryptic and duplicated
across multiple test files.

Following a suggestion from David[1], this patch refactors this common
pattern into a FORCE_READ() macro

d48e8d27cd selftests/mm: use long for dwRegionSize 
Change the type of 'dwRegionSize' in wp_init() and wp_free() from int to
long to match callers that pass long or unsigned long long values.

wp_addr_range function is left unchanged because it passes 'dwRegionSize'
parameter directly to pagemap_ioctl, which expects an int.

This patch does not fix any actual known issues.  It aligns parameter
types with their actual usage and avoids any potential future issues.

0bf19a357e selftests/mm: convert page_size to unsigned long 
Cppcheck warning:
int result is assigned to long long variable. If the variable is long long
to avoid loss of information, then you have loss of information.

This patch changes the type of page_size from 'unsigned int' to
'unsigned long' instead of using ULL suffixes. Changing hpage_size to
'unsigned long' was considered, but since gethugepage() expects an int,
this change was avoided.

The number is dependent on the architecture. The above data shows that:
x86	374
x86_64	323

The value of __NR_userfaultfd was changed to 282 when asm-generic/unistd.h
was included.  It makes the test to fail every time as the correct number
of this syscall on x86_64 is 323.  Fix the header to asm/unistd.h.

a5c6bc5900 selftests/mm: remove local __NR_* definitions 
This continues the work on getting the selftests to build without
requiring people to first run "make headers" [1].

Now that the system call numbers are in the correct, checked-in locations
in the kernel tree (./tools/include/uapi/asm/unistd*.h), make sure that
the mm selftests include that file (indirectly).

Doing so provides guaranteed definitions at build time, so remove all of
the checks for "ifdef __NR_xxx" in the mm selftests, because they will
always be true (defined).

69e545edbe selftests/mm: ksft_exit functions do not return 
After commit f7d5bcd35d ("selftests: kselftest: Mark functions that
unconditionally call exit() as __noreturn"), ksft_exit_...() functions
are marked as __noreturn, which means the return type should not be
'int' but 'void' because they are not returning anything (and never were
since exit() has always been called).

To facilitate updating the return type of these functions, remove
'return' before the calls to ksft_exit_...(), as __noreturn prevents the
compiler from warning that a caller of the ksft_exit functions does not
return a value because the program will terminate upon calling these
functions.
