   - Correct kerneldoc warnings and use the conventional 'np' argument
     name

  General MFD:
   - Convert 'aat2870' and 'tps65010' to use the per-client debugfs
directory provided by the I2C core
   - Convert 'sm501', 'tps65010' and 'ucb1x00' to use the new GPIO line
     value setter callbacks

     move data to read-only sections

  BCM590xx:
   - Drop the unused "id" member from the 'bcm590xx' struct in
     preparation for a replacement

Convert devicetree bindings for the Broadcom BCM59056 PMU MFD from

9cfdd7752b regulator: dt-bindings: mt6357: Drop fixed compatible requirement
Some of the regulators on the MT6357 PMIC currently reference the
fixed-regulator dt-binding, which enforces the presence of a
regulator-fixed compatible. However since all regulators on the MT6357
PMIC are handled by a single mt6357-regulator driver, probed through
MFD, the compatibles don't serve any purpose. In fact they cause
failures in the DT kselftest since they aren't probed by the fixed
regulator driver as would be expected. Furthermore this is the only
dt-binding in this family like this: mt6359-regulator and
mt6358-regulator don't require those compatibles.

Commit d77e89b7b0 ("arm64: dts: mediatek: mt6357: Drop regulator-fixed
compatibles") removed the compatibles from Devicetree, but missed
updating the binding, which still requires them, introducing dt-binding
errors. Remove the compatible requirement by referencing the plain
regulator dt-binding instead to fix the dt-binding errors.

f9cbf56b0a dt-bindings: regulator: pca9450: Add properties for handling LDO5
This reverts commit 27866e3e8a and
implements a new future-proof way of handling the mismatch between
the PMIC driver and the hardware for LDO5.

It turned out that this feature was implemented based on the wrong
assumption that the SD_VSEL signal needs to be controlled as GPIO
in any case.

In fact the straight-forward approach is to mux the signal as
USDHC_VSELECT and let the USDHC controller do the job.

Most users never even used this property and the few who did have
been or are getting migrated to the alternative approach.

In order to know the current status (which of the two control
registers is used) for the LDO5 regulator, we need to route back the
USDHC_VSELECT signal by setting the SION bit in the IOMUX.

By adding the according GPIO as sd-vsel-gpios to the LDO5 node, we
allow the regulator driver to sample the current status of the
SD_VSEL signal that is used to select the correct control register.

The SD_VSEL on the PMIC is always an input. It's driven by the SoC's
VSELECT signal (controlled by the USDHC controller) and we use the
SION bit in the IOMUX to internally loop back the signal in order to
sample it using the GPIO.

As the SD_VSEL pin is directly routed to the LDO5 regulator in the
PMIC, make the sd-vsel-gpios property part of the LDO5 node.

SoC PMIC
+-----------------------+ +-------------------+
| | | |
| | | |
| GPIO <----------+ | | |
| | | SD_VSEL| +-------+ |
|  USDHC_VSELECT ->+------------------->| LDO5  |       |
| | | +-------+ |
| | | |
+-----------------------+ +-------------------+

For boards which have the SD_VSEL tied to a fixed low level, we add
'nxp,sd-vsel-fixed-low'. The voltage of LDO5 is therefore only controlled
by writing to the LDO5CTRL_L register.

If none of 'nxp,sd-vsel-fixed-low' or 'sd-vsel-gpios' is set, we keep
the same behavior as before. The driver assumes that SD_VSEL is tied
high and the LDO5CTRL_H register can be used, which is in fact not true
for all known boards and works merely by chance.

This property will allow power management support for regulator consumers
like PSE controllers, enabling them to make decisions based on the
available power capacity.

08242719a8 regulator: dt-bindings: mt6315: Drop regulator-compatible property
The "regulator-compatible" property has been deprecated since 2012 in
commit 13511def87 ("regulator: deprecate regulator-compatible DT
property"), which is so old it's not even mentioned in the converted
regulator bindings YAML file. It should not have been used for new
submissions such as the MT6315.

Drop the property from the MT6315 regulator binding and its examples.

tps65010, have undergone minor code improvements to enhance
   consistency and fix race conditions.

 - The syscon driver now utilizes the regmap max_register_is_0
capability for consistent register map configuration across syscons
   of all sizes.

 - New device support has been added for QCS8300, qcs615, SA8255p, and
samsung,s2dos05, expanding the range of compatible hardware.

 - The cros_ec driver now supports loading cros_ec_ucsi on supported ECs
and avoids loading the charger with UCSI, streamlining functionality.

 - The bd96801 driver now utilizes the more modern maple tree register
   cache, improving performance.

 - The da9052-spi driver has undergone a fix to change the read-mask to
   write-mask, preventing potential issues.

 - Unused declarations in max77693 have been removed, and support for
samsung,s2dos05 has been added, enhancing code clarity and device
   compatibility.

 - Error handling in cs42l43 has been fixed to avoid unbalanced
regulator put and ensure proper synchronization during driver
   removal.

 - The wcd934x driver now uses MODULE_DEVICE_TABLE() instead of
   MODULE_ALIAS(), improving code consistency.

 - Documentation for qcom, tcsr, syscon, and atmel-smc has been updated
and reorganized for better clarity and maintainability.

 - The intel_soc_pmic_bxtwc driver has undergone significant
improvements, including the use of IRQ domains for various devices,
fixing IRQ domain names duplication, and code refactoring for better
   consistency and maintainability.

 - The ipaq-micro driver has received a fix for a missing break
statement in the default case, enhancing code robustness.

 - Support for the AXP323 PMIC has been added to the axp20x driver,
along with ensuring a clear relationship between IDs and model names,
and allowing multiple regulators, broadening hardware compatibility.

 - The cs42l43 driver now disables IRQs during suspend for improved
   power management.

 - The adp5585 driver has reduced its dependencies by dropping the
   obsolete dependency on COMPILE_TEST.

 - Initial support for the MT6328 PMIC has been added to the mt6397
driver, expanding the range of supported hardware.

 - The rtc-bd70528 driver has been simplified by dropping the IC name
   from IRQ, improving code readability.

 - Documentation for qcom,spmi-pmic, ti,twl, and zii,rave-sp has been
updated to enhance clarity and incorporate new features.

 - The rt5033 driver has received a fix for a missing
regmap_del_irq_chip() in the error handling path.

 - New device support has been added for MSM8917, and the
intel_soc_pmic_crc driver now supports non-ACPI instantiated
   i2c_client.

 - The 88pm886 driver has added support for the RTC cell, and the tqmx86
driver has improved its GPIO IRQ setup and added I2C IRQ support,
   increasing functionality.

 - The sprd,sc2731 DT schema has been updated and converted to YAML
format for better readability and maintainability.
