When merging name events, fsids of the two involved events have to match. Otherwise we could merge events from two different filesystems and thus effectively loose the second event. Backporting note: Although the commitcacfb956d4introducing this bug was merged for 5.7, the relevant code didn't get used in the end until7e8283af6e("fanotify: report parent fid + name + child fid") which will be merged with this patch. So there's no need for backporting this. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
